Who's missing food and socializing? raise your hands 🤚🏻 We're lucky enough to still have plenty local restaurant delivering, but I do miss the experience. It's a hard time for us all, especial local restaurants and shops that were forced to close because of the pandemic. Thankfully you can shop at local stores, rather than big supermarkets or look for small restaurants that deliver, rather than chains.  It's an opportunity to discover new places, hidden gems. However, I have to say really feeling the whole

"I wish I developed more hobbies than eating out"

Did you pick up any new hobbies during quarantine? I've been spending my time doing the usual working, cooking, working out and binge watching series, as well as unhealthy amount of Disney+. Soon I'll also share what I've been loving to watch and eat. Stay safe babes!

Being in self-isolation can be challenging, depending on your home environment and because of all the 'pressure' to learn a new hobby or a new language, get into painting or writing, exercise, do 20 steps skincare routines, do this or that and so on. Social media is full of all the things you should do. For anyone needing to hear this, babe it's ok to do nothing. If today you feel like starting 100 projects and be your most productive self, perfect do you. But if you can barely get out of bed to brush your teeth, know that doing nothing is good for you as well. Give yourself a break and listen to all your thoughts, acknowledge them and understand what they mean. Find your inner peace and love yourself! Trust me, no one is productive all the time and that's fine. Stay safe babes!

Today's message is simple, yet at times hard to achieve. Be better! than you were yesterday, than last month, than last year. But don't compare yourself to anyone else, especially not actresses or models. It's unhealthy to compare yourself to anyone else, because we are all different and unique. You are on your journey and everything will happen at the right time for you. So be kind and be better for yourself. Stay safe babes!

This outfit simply makes me feel like a modern day princess. It's probably the headband and Rapunzel hair! But honestly, I just love how simple yet put together the look is. A spring day to day uniform, if you will. I'll keep it short and sweet this week, stay safe babes!

As someone finding themselves in self-isolation during these scary times, I can't help but dream of spring and last year when I was able to roam around care free, taking pictures in my favorite places. In the spirit of dreaming of spring and better times (which we'll find ourselves in again very soon, hopefully), I'm sharing this effortless look from my looks archive. Stay safe babes!

I wanted to share these pictures we took during the festive season, because they make me smile every time I look at them and sometimes that should be reason enough. Not every post needs to have this big significant message that should be shared with the world, it can simply be something that puts a smile on your face.

Keep safe!

Any OG followers remember my first Lady in Red post from way back when? Fells like that was a lifetime ago, but it was only a few years. One thing hasn't changed for sure, and that's my love for the color red and wearing all red outfits. Still find them flattering and sassy. Might not be for everyone, but I enjoy them and alway get a confidence boost when wearing all red. Kind of gives you the feeling that you can achieve anything, which I'm loving. Which color does that for you?

These pictures were taken a few months ago, pre hair cut and as previously mentioned, I do have a lot of amazing content shot and never shared, so starting to slowly share it with you gals. Looking at these makes me miss my long hair for a second, then I remember how hard it was to maintain and style - on the rare occasions I would attempt styling it. I am blessed with lot of hair, which meant at this length it was heavy and honestly gave me headaches. Would I grow it this long again, despite what I just said? Of course! Just look how nice it is! But for now I'll celebrate my shorter hair - as in shorter than this, not actually short - also, getting my hair this long will take a couple of years, so let's just enjoy the pictures in the meantime.

Another one from Berlin, this time from the gorgeous Charlottenburg Schloss! Which I kind of matched with my outfit, unintentionally obviously. Anyway, the Charlottenburg Schloss is a palace with luxurious baroque and rococo style decorations and architecture. Did you know the palace was a gift to Sophia Charlotte from her husband Friedrich III? The palace was known as 'Lietzenburg Palace' until her death, when Friedrich decided to rename the palace and surrounding area 'Charlottenburg' in her honor. Highly recommend visiting if you're traveling to Berlin.

This is the first time I've been back in Berlin in 9 years. Being back just reminded me how much I love this city. Fun fact: did you know I almost moved to Berlin instead of Vienna for University? I had been accepted in a couple Universities there, but changed my mind last minute and decided Vienna was a better option for me, as it felt closer to home. It was the better choice for me, however Berlin still holds a special place in my heart, even after all these years. It felt both like a strange place and very familiar at the same time, a bit contradictory I realize. It was interesting to visit it with different eyes as an adult at 28 and I can't wait to visit again, hopefully it won't take another 9 years til I travel to Berlin again.

There is absolutely nothing groundbreaking about florals in autumn, it's just another reoccurring autumn trend. The title is of course referencing Miranda Priestly, The Devil Wears Prada sarcasm. However, I do love autumn florals, almost as much as our favorite designers. You will notice florals in AW19 collections from Prada, Valentino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Giambattista Valli, Balenciaga to name a few. The world is your oyster this fall, from all over prints like the one I'm wearing, to floral trousers or floral jackets or maybe you'd fancy a floral suit. Whatever your choice, it would seem this autumn you'll be able to find it, from both luxury and high street brands.

Autumn florals are darker, moodier and also more romantic than spring florals, as they tend to have bolder renaissance or gothic influences. The fun part is you can dress it up or down, styling it more edgy or relaxed or glam, just experiment and enjoy it. As it gets colder, go for darker florals and pair them with boots, heeled or flat, whatever you're comfortable with. I think if you're comfortable in what you're wearing, you're also confident and as long as you're confident, you can pull off any trend you wish.

Now that it's gotten colder, like way colder, it's time for tailored looks and fluffy cardigans. This one makes me look like a giant pink marshmallow and I love it! Back to the main point of this post, I noticed a lot of tailoring on the runways of all big four fashion weeks and I'm obsessed. I adore tailoring on women in general, as I've expressed before, so seeing it stronger than ever on the runways makes me happy and inspired.

I enjoy styling tailored pieces more casually by pairing them with t-shirts or sneakers or giant pink marshmallow cardigans in this case. To me it's empowering and expresses confidence, just gives a fab boss vibe. You know how it goes..."I'm not bossy, I'm the boss!".

What are dreams? Well, a series of stories we play out in our head while sleeping. They can be linear or abstract. Dreams are also an ideal we aspire towards. According to doctors and analysts it's a thinking process, a continuation of your day. Do they mean anything? Across the years, different theories arose. Obviously, Sigmund Freuds is one of the most famous ones as he believed dreams reveal unconscious repressed fears or wishes. I happen to agree, dreams do mean something.

Let's talk about dreams as aspirations. So, what are your dreams? What makes you tick? Do you feel lost sometimes or all the times? Do you get caught up in the dream and struggle taking the first steps towards making it happen? I do. I'm a dreamer at heart, always thinking about the best possibilities, outcomes, imagining the whole process, but struggling putting it in action. Sometimes, I find excuses and convince myself they're true, other times I feel so inspired that I take action. It's important to follow your dreams and not let yourself be stopped by fear. However, it's vital to understand that you need to do everything at your own pace. Be kind and accept your flaws, while trying to better yourself. Don't let others pressure you and don't bully yourself when delaying your own process. We all think differently and what works for some won't work for you, you need to find your own path even if it's at a slower pace than others's. Most importantly, never stop dreaming.

We all have a that one piece of clothing that instantly boosts our confidence and moral, no matter how much we're currently disliking everything in our wardrobe. Which, let's be honest, can happen more often than it should due to all the pressure the fashion industry can put on us to constantly wear the latest trends and buy the latest collections. However, this summer I discovered this gorgeous yellow gold satin dress, that became my confidence boost piece as soon as I wore it the first time.

I've been obsessed with satin for years, even since high-school, and I've shared this love quite often on the blog. Satin is a lovely fabric, smooth to the touch and has beautiful sheen, not to mention how  flattering and glamorous it is. It can be worn day to day or on special occasions, as well as for nightwear. Satin is very versatile, not only in fashion but also for interior design and can be made from either silk or synthetic materials. Can you tell how much I love it?!

Back to this dress... I feel it's important to find confidence from within, but it's nice when you have a little boost on those days when you need it. I wore this dress so many times this summer, as it just made me feel like a princess. It truly is my Belle (as in Disney princess Belle) dress. It flows beautifully, it's the perfect golden shade and has a versatile style that I have worn from lunch to dinner to drinks, styled casually and more elegant. I know it will stay in my wardrobe for a long time and I can't wait to wear it next.

Do you have a similar piece in your closet? What makes it so special?

It's been a while...over seven months now, I did accumulate an archive of pictures in this time, which I'm looking forward to sharing with you in the following weeks. However, it has just been hard finding the words, especially when I put so much pressure on myself wanting to create beautiful content for you lovely lot who take the time to scroll through my blog. As you might guess, it's quite normal to get creative blocks or feel uninspired. For me, it has been a few tough months getting trapped in a whirlwind of stress, exhaustion, worry and negativity regarding my blog.

Was I being my best version? Was I creating the best content I could? Was it representing me 100%?  Could I be myself 100%? So many questions that kept putting me off from writing even though I still enjoyed taking all the pictures. It's not all resolved, BUT I miss it and I am trying to create the best content I can. That is all I can ask of myself and all we can do, just give it our best.

I became quite critical of myself and that is fine as often we are our biggest critics, but we shouldn't let it stop us from continuing with our passions. Let's strive for the best we can give while recognizing the errors and improving every single day, without letting fear stop us. Be patient with me while I get back in the game, as I might fall off the tracks a few times. The good news is I'll always find my way back to you. Maybe instead of stressing when I have a low period, I could still share pictures - would you like that? Please let me know.

It's been a pleasure chatting to you again.

London during the festive season is simply magical, most window shops and restaurants are decorated making you feel like you're walking around a movie set. Quite honestly I love that about London, that atmosphere in the air and dreamy installations. I'm very excited for another year in my favorite city and will back soon with my goals for the new year. Have you set any goals / resolutions?

Today I'm happy to share the fabulous exterior of The Ivy Chelsea Garden, which always have some of the most magnificent installations. They are prepared for every occasion and I can't wait to see how they're going to top the Christmas one. As you can see in the pictures it looks like vibrant gingerbread house, decorated with Christmas baubles and giant "candy canes".

Which was your favorite Christmas installation this year?

Since we've entered the sale season, I'm going to share Friday my best sale finds!

Welcome to Vlogmas Day 2! Today I'm sharing my outfit but with a twist. Google Pixel 3 opened a pop up in London featuring their curiosity rooms, a very fun and entertaining concept of showcasing their latest phone. While I don't have a Google Pixel Phone, I did appreciate the curiosity rooms and adored the concept. This is why I decided to film a quick outfit video while visiting the pop up. Have you visited the Google Pixel Pop up? What do you think of the curiosity rooms?

Have you had enough of my love for Rome or happy for more? This is my last one from Rome, for this year at least. It's a short and sweet post, sharing a few important touristic attractions like the "Altare della patria" and "fori imperiali". I have to say that "Fori imperiali" really impressed me with it's grandiosity and beauty. I won't start again as all I've been talking about is fabulous Rome, so I'll just leave you with these last few pictures from my trip. Have you been enjoying these fashion-travel posts? Do let me know if you'd like more!

On another note, this month has been progressing well so far and something fun is coming up starting with Wednesday, so make sure to come back. Hope you babes love what I have planned for you! I'm pretty excited, but more details will follow Wednesday!

Rome is one of the most historically rich cities in the world, having one of the most influential history in the world. Walking around the center is like being in a museum. Every corner hides a picturesque view just waiting to be discovered. Additionally  it's possibly one of the most photogenic cities, not to mention the to-die-for food. Italian food in general is amazing, but food in Rome was out of this world. If given the opportunity I would fly out to Rome just to have a pasta dish and enjoy the Roman atmosphere.

This wasn't my first time visiting Rome, I had traveled there on vacation with my family when I was in high school. That time around it hadn't amazed me as much and every time someone would tell me its their favorite city I would remain unfazed. It took me coming back to Rome to realize two things. Firstly, the first time I visited we barely saw anything. We visited a few of the touristic attractions and that's it, so understandably I wasn't impressed. Secondly, when you visit a city or country as an adult, you'll always view it with a different perspective. I fell in love with every corner, every cobblestone and every building! It's astonishing and when you think about the history of the city it amazes you even more. I would definitely go back hence why I threw a coin in the Trevi fountain

Fun fact: we've all heard the axiom "All the roads lead to Rome" and while being on one of the original Roman roads I asked where that saying came from. My funny boyfriend explained to me that it was logical all the roads would lead to Rome as they were built out of Rome, which obviously makes sense yet we never think about it logically, so I like the proverb interpretation that all the methods of doing something will lead to the same result in the end.

Did you know this fun Roman fact?

Kind regards,
Carina
Victorian influences in fashion have to be some of my favorite, especially the sleeve details and shapes. The bright and vivid colored clothing items, as well as the delicate materials are also one of the factors that make me appreciate this fashion era. McQueen does a gorgeous modern interpretation of the Victorian style and has a few of my most loved pieces, but thanks to the rise of the style in the past few years we can find similar styles from high street. This dress isn't new to the blog, however I can't get over how perfect it is - to me at least, which is why I keep on sharing ways to wear it. The first time I saw it I fell in love and had to have it! The mix between the puffed yet flared sleeves, with lace and the gorgeous color got me. What's amazing is that even after a year, I still see it the same and look for occasions to wear it.

Did you ever find a clothing item you fell in love with and feel the same year after year ?
