Who's missing food and socializing? raise your hands 🤚🏻 We're lucky enough to still have plenty local restaurant delivering, but I do miss the experience. It's a hard time for us all, especial local restaurants and shops that were forced to close because of the pandemic. Thankfully you can shop at local stores, rather than big supermarkets or look for small restaurants that deliver, rather than chains.  It's an opportunity to discover new places, hidden gems. However, I have to say really feeling the whole

"I wish I developed more hobbies than eating out"

Did you pick up any new hobbies during quarantine? I've been spending my time doing the usual working, cooking, working out and binge watching series, as well as unhealthy amount of Disney+. Soon I'll also share what I've been loving to watch and eat. Stay safe babes!

Being in self-isolation can be challenging, depending on your home environment and because of all the 'pressure' to learn a new hobby or a new language, get into painting or writing, exercise, do 20 steps skincare routines, do this or that and so on. Social media is full of all the things you should do. For anyone needing to hear this, babe it's ok to do nothing. If today you feel like starting 100 projects and be your most productive self, perfect do you. But if you can barely get out of bed to brush your teeth, know that doing nothing is good for you as well. Give yourself a break and listen to all your thoughts, acknowledge them and understand what they mean. Find your inner peace and love yourself! Trust me, no one is productive all the time and that's fine. Stay safe babes!

It's easy to get trapped in the stress of every day life, but we all need a reminder to appreciate the small details in life. Always thinking about the future and not enjoying the moment is exhausting and while it's smart to plan certain aspects of your future, if you always think about the that you'll never appreciate what's in front of you. So here I am today, with a short post, to remind to smell the flowers, watch the sunset, enjoy a glass of wine, the smell of fresh fruit or pizza.

Suits have been the center of attention for two years now and as we have been seeing all over the runways they will continue to reign in seasons to come. They are flattering and empowering, best of all can be styled up or down. As a woman wearing a structured suit with a gorgeous pair of heels I feel not only strong and confident, but also sexy. Suits also look stylish worn with sneakers, it gives a youthful and fresh perspective on the look.

If you're new to the trend start with a matching suit in black or navy. Once you feel more comfortable with that you can mix and match colors and patterns, going bolder and having more fun with it. Suits don't have to be corporate boring. Even if prints, patterns or colors aren't your thing you can still play with different textures and cuts.

The suit I'm sharing today is one I put together by styling a pair of Zara trousers I've had for more than a year now with this new River Island blazer. The blazer has ruffled flute sleeves, making it more interesting and feminine, while the trousers have a gold stripe detail on the waist cinching you in. The small details are the ones that help you pop and distinguish yourself. Here are my tips for styling suits.

1. Confidence is key, so pick a suit that makes you feel fabulous. The material, cut, color and style should all be to your highest standards. Be careful how it fits, have the patience to find the right one for you. If all those elements are perfect for you, naturally you will feel confident in it.

2. Play and match feminine with masculine elements. Suits have been seen as masculine for a very long time, but women are now proving they can wear it more stylish. Find your sweet spot of mixing masculine and feminine factors, there isn't one formula that works for all.

3. Be creative yet polished. Have fun with your styling by incorporating colors, patterns or interesting textures, but stay sophisticated.

Though fun, the last day in Madrid was rainy and gloomy. However the city's breathtaking center lifted up the mood and I still enjoyed walking around. My outfit was effortless and comfy with a 90's vibe to it.

Have you visited Madrid? In my last video you can see a bit from what the city has to offer.

Happy 1st of May Dolls!

If you've been following my Insta Stories, you'll know that I've been in Madrid over the weekend. It was my first time visiting the beautiful city and I was really impressed.

For the first day I styled a light spring outfit, light in color and fabrics. The main theme were stripes, which are visible on the pants, but you can also see them peeking through from the top. It might have been sunny, but it wasn't particularly warm, so I added this nude sweater. The ruffled details of the sweater give a feminine and romantic vibe to the outfit. We explored the city, so comfy shoes were a must, thus I opted for my trusty sneakers. I'm proud to report we walked 14km a day!

Over the next week I'm going to share more posts from Madrid, so make sure to come back!

What's the most important accessory one can don? Well, a smile of course. One that is genuine, letting the happiness shine through.

Wondering what makes me happy? No?! I'll let you know anyway. The small things, like sporting a simple cute outfit or feeling precious while wearing new earrings. Today's look is relaxed and simple, exactly what is needed on a Monday. The top has delicate ruffled sleeves offering a romantic preppy vibe to the look, while the Superstars are sporty with a chill vibe.

My earrings are from the lovely Happiness Boutique, a Berlin based brand. I opted for a pearl drop style that looks sophisticated yet modern. Like I've previously shared, they carry lovely designs at affordable prices. Fun thing, they a reward program and bi-monthly giveaways. In case you're interested, the sweet girls at Happiness Boutique offered me a 10% discount code for you guys, just use carinavardie.

While the earrings were gifted, I only share my genuine opinions and don't gain anything from the code.

If you've been following for a while, you'll know my favourite outfits are chic yet comfy. Today I wanted to style an office look with a sporty twist. To achieve this, just go for sneakers instead of heels or ballerinas and a fluffy slightly oversized pullover instead of a blazer. The base consists of the suit pants and dressy shirt, but this way it's a bit more comfy and smart casual rather than elegant.

Pairing suit pants with sneakers is a cool new way of wearing the pants. If you want to make the look even more casual, opt for an oversized T-shirt instead of the dressy shirt.

Also, look how pretty all of the colourful leaves are!

Would you wear this at work?

As you've probably noticed, in the last year I've tried to share more fun and creative outfits with you, but everybody needs a lazy day outfit that still looks chic. So today I'm sharing my tips on achieving a lazy day outfit. Well, it doesn't have to be just for lazy day, it also works for when you're feeling unwell or just can't be bothered.

In such cases, I like to feel comfortable while still looking cute. Here are a few tips:
My obsession with palazzo pants is so real that after sharing my birthday look, I started thinking of other fun ways in which to wear them. To change it up from the last look, I went for an athelisure style pairing the pants with sneakers and a slouchy open back t-shirt which I tied in the front. Because this particular white shirt is very see through, I added a crop top underneath for a delicate detail. To complete the look, I opted for the boxer braids hairstyle.

Do you like athleisure looks?

Hey there! Welcome back to a new outfit post!

How was your weekend, did you have fun? Mine was very pleasant and productive!

For this look, I'm adopting the backwards shirt trend, this time with a more casual vibe. Last backwards shirt outfit was very glam and sexy, while this time I approached it in a more relaxed feminine way. Because I also wanted to incorporate a slightly boho vibe, I styled my hair in a braided up-do.

Would love to get your opinion on the backwards shirt trend. Is it cool or silly?

You know how some people have "Happy places"? Like somewhere they feel peaceful yet joyful, they can put in order their thoughts and just feel at ease. Well, my happy place is by the water. It can be a lake or the sea, I slightly prefer the sea because of its salty smell. Therefor, this has to be one of my favourite shoots so far, location wise.

As for the outfit, to continue with my off the shoulder blouse obsession, I'm sharing the athleisure inspired way of styling it. It incorporates distressed jeans and my comfy Superstars. For the past two years I've been mostly wearing black jeans, but from time to time it's nice to bust out some light blue ones, especially since before I was loving them. I think they pair nicely with the blouse and the style I was going for.

What do you think about the location and this look?

Happy Monday everyone!

How was your weekend? Mine was quite fun and full of delicious treats, very naughty sugary and yummy. I need to get back to a somewhat healthy lifestyle or at least have a sweets free week. But let's put that aside for another post and concentrate on my outfit.

In this look I embraced the midi trend, wearing a simple black dress with a leather jacket and sneakers. This type of dress is very versatile and can be transformed to look very glam or office-chic or sporty, which is why I bought it. As you know, I'm all about reusing and repurposing my clothes, so in the last couple of months I wanted to purchase items that can be styled in at least three different ways.

Also, I finally made a Snapchat account so make sure to follow me there and leave your accounts in the comments so I can check you all out. My user name is carinavardie. Don't forget to follow the blog through Google Friend Connect, Bloglovin, Facebook and Instagram.

On this wonderful sunny day, I want to share with you a new outfit I wore at the Mogosoaia palace this morning. The palace is situated a little bit outside Bucharest, but has a gorgeous park in which we took a stroll. We used to come here when we, my sister and I, were little. Though the weather was very sunny and pleasant, there was some wind which required a leather jacket.

I got a new top last week and I'm in love with it, which is why I wanted to share it with you. I've planed a few more outfits with it, which I can't wait to share this spring. Also, I know my obsession for my Superstars might start to bore you, so I'll try to choose other shoes in the next few posts.

Hey Dolls! Happy Monday!

Today's outfit is all about layering and asymmetrical pieces. Thank God it stopped raining and the weather has been warmer, but still chilli enough to be able to layer like crazy. It may seem much, but keep in mind the trench coat is very thin and the fluffy layer is actually a vest. I enjoy the look of all the different textures peaking through and the slightly ombre formed out of the black, dark grey to lighter grey, which was unintentional.

Also, today's outfit was possible thanks for my sister, which like previously mentioned has left before my arrival leaving her closet at my mercy. Yay for sisters who wear the same size! How are you enjoying this day so far?
