Do you remember the first time you went to the seaside? A lot of us might have gone when we were too young to remember, but do you have in mind the first time you were conscious of the experience? I remember being at the seaside as a child, playing in the sand with my sister, jumping in the water when there were waves, staying there until my fingers got pruned and I was freezing. My love for the sea beat my love for warmth and comfort, I just wanted to be a mermaid and snorkel, experience all the beautiful sea life.
As I've said so many times before, I'm a summer baby. Not just because I was born in summer, but because my soul loves the summer time. Being in any environment with water brings me tremendous joy, just like when I was a child. It's my happy place. The only major thing that changed is my courage to go into cold water. Don't care for that anymore. Even so, if I'm on a boat trip I will always jump in the water as many times as I'm given the chance. I love everything about the seaside. Listening to the waves, the salty smell of the sea, the feeling of sand between my toes, the water on my skin, it's all just pure bliss. So tell me, what is your favorite part of beach holidays?

I've been on a foodie kick lately, trying to recreate a lot of Italian recipes from my summer holiday in Sicily. With that in mind I wanted to share an Italian food diary post from that trip. Usually wouldn't post two food posts one after the other, but we all need a bit of mid-week comfort food inspiration. As you kow Italian is one of my favorite cuisines and food cultures. And like most people, I could have that every day without getting bored, which I did when I lived in Italy.

Foolishly, I have deleted most pictures of my meals in India and only have 4 left. Not sure how that even happened seeing how many food pictures I have in my phone, but must have saved my favorite four. Since I was keen to share more, I decided to add a few from the Berlin trip. For my final post from India I want to share this dreamy lilac dress. Well, the last post will be the food diary, which I can't wait to share. But back to this dress. I love fancy/dressy options, but you rarely get the opportunity to wear them more than once and since I'm all about reusing and repurposing, I actually borrowed this from my sister. Looking at these pictures makes me miss my wipsy bangs, they're soft and romantic as well as super flattering. But, then I remember how hard they are to maintain and that they looks this gorgeous only in pictures, so no more bangs for a few years. I was fortunate enough to wear a few different traditional Indian outfits on this amazing trip, so of course I want to share them with you. The pink saree was my favorite, not just because of the beautiful light pink shade but because of the craftsmanship. From the beautiful and detailed design to the luxurious fabric. Going on a safari has been a dream of mine since high-school, which I'm sure doesn't surprise those of you who've been following since the beginning. I love animals and always try to incorporate activities with animals in my holidays. Being able to experience a safari in the Kanha tiger reserve was surreal. It was an emotional experience for me, seeing all these beautiful animals in their natural habitat and of course, the highlight was seeing tigers. Would you go on a safari in India?

Delhi is a fascinating city. You have 'Old Delhi' which includes the historic part and is situated in the north part of the city, and 'New Delhi', located in the south part, built as the capital of British India. Delhi is a cultural center with top sights such as the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Agrasen ki Baoli old water reservoir, India's Gate, Swaminarayan Akshardham the Hindu Temple and so many more. To me, Delhi beautifully merges the iconic historic parts with the modern lifestyle and an incredible food scene. I fell in love with the food in India, will do a food post at the end of this travel series. But for now, would love to hear from you - have you ever thought about visiting Delhi?

Welcome to Jaipur babes! During our guided tour through the City Palace we found out Jaipur was painted pink in 1876 to welcome and impress Prince Albert. Fun fact, the maharaja's wife also loved the shade and convinced the maharaja to pass a law declaring the buildings must be painted Jaipur pink, law still standing today. The pink city was probably one of my favorite cities in India! Jaipur has a lot to offer, not just the pink buildings. It's the capital of Rajasthan and home to the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort. Unfortunately I didn't have time to visit the Amber Fort, but I hope to go back one day. Have you visited Jaipur and did you fall in love with it?

| You can't travel to India without planing to visit the famous Taj Mahal, so here we are. It's been over a year since this amazing trip and I'm finally sharing pictures from it. I was fascinated with the Taj Mahal's story. Of course, we all know it's India's most famous monument and on everyone's bucket list. The Taj was built by emperor Shah Jahan as a dedication to his wifey Mumtaz Mahal, who died during childbirth. It's made of white marble and was decorated with crystals, lapis and turquoise. The monument is a gesture of love but also symbolizes power through its scale, symmetry and lavishness. There is a theory that a second black marble Taj Mahal was meant to be built for emperor Shah, but constructions stoped after he was imprisoned by his son. The Taj Mahal is a UNESCO world heritage and one of the 7 new wonders of the world. Truly breathtaking to see. The day we visited was quite foggy and cold, yet nothing could take away from its beauty. After our visit we went for lunch and drinks at the famous and luxurious Oberoi. I can't believe it's been two years since I did a proper food post, honestly shocked seeing I used to share them bi-weekly / monthly. Glad I'm doing them again, it's not like I stopped cooking for two years, so hope you're as excited as I am. We'll start with a plant-based one. Some of you might remember the post after 50 days vegan, click here for a refresher, but I've done the 50 days vegan again this year. Honestly, I always feel so much better while going plant based and this year I've enjoyed it more than ever. Mainly because I've discovered some delicious vegan meat and cheese alternatives, which have made my life easier, additionally I've also been more creative when cooking.
My close friends know what a foodie I am, so compromising on taste isn't an option. I will admit there were a couple products that texture-wise threw me off and aren't featured here. Tried Seitan and while it works for some, I couldn't get on board with the texture and taste. If you're confused, Seitan is wheat gluten and popular amongst vegans because it's a high source of protein. There was also a specific brand of tofu sausages, which I won't name and shame, that tasted off to me. Trust me when I say there is no need to compromise on flavor when there are incredibly delicious alternatives in all supermarkets. There's one specific product worth mentioning which texture wise needs some adjusting, but can work well in stews and curry and I'm talking about tempeh. Tempeh is made from fermented soybeans and, again, a high source of protein. However, it has a sandy texture, which is why I recommend cooking it with sauces.
If you're on a vegan kick or want to give it a go, my favorite plant based brands are Plant Pioneers and Vivera, not sponsored just sharing the love.
After the 50 day period I did have animal products, but have to say that unless I am craving something specific, it's always cheese, prefer to go for a plant based option. I'm not going to label my diet in any way. My sister gave me a great advice, she said I should eat intuitively rather than pressure myself into being vegan or pescatarian or anything else. I think that's a very smart suggestion. Your body knows what it needs in order to function healthily, so just listen to it. That being said, I'm curios have any of you tried going vegan? How did you find it?

Any OG followers remember my first Lady in Red post from way back when? Fells like that was a lifetime ago, but it was only a few years. One thing hasn't changed for sure, and that's my love for the color red and wearing all red outfits. Still find them flattering and sassy. Might not be for everyone, but I enjoy them and alway get a confidence boost when wearing all red. Kind of gives you the feeling that you can achieve anything, which I'm loving. I enjoy watching them since you see what other beauty lovers really ended up using and if they would repurchase. In my opinion if you're willing to repurchase a product it means it was really good, otherwise you would keep on experimenting until you would find "the one".
Positive reviews are my favorite, because I believe in putting good energy in to the world, however honesty is very important. In this video you can see the products I love, which I've also repurchased, and those you were just nice or bad.

Eyebrows are more important than you might think, they frame your face balancing your features. You can opt for different ways of grooming and filling them in, going from a strong brow to a soft feathery one. I'm back with a review, this time on the La Roche-Possay Effaclar cleansing gel. After consulting a dermatologist, I was recommended the Ducray Keracnyl gel, which I purchased and used for a while. It was a favorite, that sadly stoped being carried by my pharmacy. However, the pharmacist explained that the La Roche-Posay cleansing gel has almost the same ingredients and performs similar. It's time for another first impression and this time on the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation. Because of my fair skin, it can be quite difficult to find a light enough shade in foundations, so I was very pleased with Tarte's shade selection. If you remember, my Bourjois foundation oxidizes and gets too dark for me, so after gifting it to a friend, I needed a new foundation. With a bit of research, I became more curios about the Tarte water foundation and decided to get my hands on it, which was quite easy thanks to my sister who brought it from the US.
