Did you know January is considered the most depressing month of the year? Allegedly it's the combination of post Christmas blues, bills and the gray weather that has made it earn the title. While there are many great ways to help combat sadness during January, such as spending time with loved ones, working out, traveling somewhere warm, meditating, nourishing yourself, the one that will instantly lift your mood is something sparkly or colorful.
This outfit is a simple classy look elevated with a sparkly crop top and pearl combat boots. The juxtaposition of the combat boots with pearls in the heel is pure perfection and me in a boot. I've dreamed of these boots for many years as they encapsulate my style perfectly, feminine, classy with an edge and comfy. The sparkly crop top can be worn so many ways and will shine in summer, but I love how it can liven up a simple look like this one.
This year I'll play more into the classic pieces I own while elevating the looks with fun accessories. Something to remember as we start this new year is not all that glitter is gold, be mindful of that in everyday life.

Today I'm happy to share the fabulous exterior of The Ivy Chelsea Garden, which always have some of the most magnificent installations. They are prepared for every occasion and I can't wait to see how they're going to top the Christmas one. As you can see in the pictures it looks like vibrant gingerbread house, decorated with Christmas baubles and giant "candy canes".
Everyone thinks taking pictures is easy peasy with no stress, no fuss and you get your desired content after one shoot. This couldn't be further from the truth. Creating visually enticing content takes time, nerves and a whole lot of research. Do you think people just roll out of bed and the perfect location pops up in their mind? You'd be wrong to think so. I research new locations in the city I live in constantly and for trips I do it months in advance, at times I even start when a city is just on my bucket list because you never know. It's better to always be prepared. Is it a bit much? For anyone not caring about fabulous pictures it is and rightfully so, but my biggest regret after visiting stunning countries, which I'm probably not going to visit again soon, is that I hadn't prepared. To be clear, it's not just for the 'gram, I actually enjoy it - it's fun for me!
Have you ever wondered how bloggers/instagramers/etc manage to have pictures all alone in locations you know ohh to well are crowded? It comes down to two things. 1. waking up at the crack of dawn and you're alone. I would say the downside to this strategy is quite obvious - you wake up at 5-6am depending of the location. It's insane and hard, especially when you're doing it for someone else. Needless to say it's something to do once in a while if you care about the person taking your pictures. Option 2. is apparently simple patience. Why apparently? Well you can't control the people surrounding you and this relies a lot on people being nice and understanding, which doesn't always happen. However, sometimes you'll meet a fellow creator at the same location and you'll both have a huge understanding for each others craft which is a nice feeling.
Well ... those are my creator's truths for today. Did you enjoy this kind of post? Should I do more?

- I would suggest keeping it mono-coloured except for the floral print and quite dark in order to counteract the summer vibes from the pattern.
- In this case I added a loose cardigan, but you could also add a blazer or leather jacket, depending on the weather.
- For accessories go for wool floppy hats or fedoras or even a beanie if the dress is sporty.
- As for the footwear, opt for ankle boots or over the knee boots. For those warm autumn days go without tights, it will look best especially because we added the fluffy knitwear.
- Try adding scarves for extra texture and warmth, but be careful not to overdo it with the oversized pieces. Balance it out between the scarf and cardigan/jacket.
