In my Fashionista Workwear post I promised to share my winter casual workwear look and a month later here we are. This outfit formula is something I started putting together since moving to Milan almost two years ago. Whoa time flies, but not really the point today. I think you can get away with being very casual at work if you're prepared.
Wondering how you can be prepared? Well I'm glad you ask, by simply wearing either an elegant shirt or a turtleneck, since both are chic and smart options to wear at work. As long as you wear a nice shirt as a base you can add up any fluffy sweater to keep you warm this winter. As for the bottoms I would suggest either jeans or a smarter trouser in a dark color, it just creates a "smarter" visual effect. A touch of accessory is always welcomed and I would suggest a bigger pendant, as it looks dainty against an oversized jumper, yet still catches the eye. I'm all about fine dainty jewelry, however with oversized jumpers it would become unnoticeable. Let's not forget about the shoes. I find that the best shoe option is a pair with a point, because of the sophisticated look they give to any outfit.
So to recap, always add a "smart" top and pair it with dark colored pants. Pointy shoes are a must for the office, be it either flats or heels and snuggle up in a fluffy jumper to fight the cold. What is your go-to casual work outfit this winter?
Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses
