Hello gorgeous people!
Welcome to the new and improved www.carinavardie.com, I'm so excited to finally have it live in all its beauty. I started changing the design of my blog last summer, but it still wasn't what I dreamed of, which is why at the beginning of this year I started planing again. A few years ago I discovered pipdig and bought a template from them, the Firefly one. It was a really nice upgrade, but I wanted more customization. This summer I combined a couple of elements from some themes and upgraded again. At the time I was indecisive between two homepages layouts. I didn't make a big deal of it only because like I said there was still a lot to ameliorate. Fast forward to January and I contacted Phil from pipdig to update my blog. He's always been of a lot of help and delivered big time. I kept a lot of elements from this summer's design, just changed the homepage visual to the homepage layout I was considering last summer. Let me know your thoughts on the new layout.
This has also been the reason why I haven't posted, just wanted to start new. To me it feels like the blog has been reborn with this amazing new layout, however it's still has the same principals at heart. I'll always love fashion and travel, so that's what I'll write about. Fashion wise I wanna promote the importance of reusing and repurposing your wardrobe, while incorporating the trends that fit your style. Also, with the risk of sounding like a broken tape, traveling is the most enriching experience one can have and I can't wait to share my upcoming travels.
I've been wanting to visit the Aubaine Cafe for ages knowing it would make for the most gorgeous background of any outfit. It's one of those super Instagramble locations in London and definitely worth checking out. Obviously it's girly and cute, has a wonderful vibe and an awesome location for a girlfriends date. My outfit for this girls breakfast date was meant to be feminine and empowering yet warm enough, seeing as we're still in winter. Last summer I styled and wore this dress to death. I still love it, which is why I want to always find new ways of styling it. This time I paired it with a navy blazer, which has feminine ruffly sleeves that combine wonderfully with the dress yet still create a structured effect. What do you think?
Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses
