Welcome to Jaipur babes! During our guided tour through the City Palace we found out Jaipur was painted pink in 1876 to welcome and impress Prince Albert. Fun fact, the maharaja's wife also loved the shade and convinced the maharaja to pass a law declaring the buildings must be painted Jaipur pink, law still standing today. The pink city was probably one of my favorite cities in India! Jaipur has a lot to offer, not just the pink buildings. It's the capital of Rajasthan and home to the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort. Unfortunately I didn't have time to visit the Amber Fort, but I hope to go back one day.
