It's been quite evident that my posts and vlogs have been all over the place, following no schedule. I had been quite good with my "Monday, Wednesday, Firday, Sunday" schedule, but after my US holiday I have been having a huge block. I put a lot of effort in finding the perfect outfits for the trip and creating posts to go up while I'm away, as well as finding the ideal spots for the perfect content. If you follow my Instagram, you'll see all the wonderful pictures we took - which I'm very proud of.
After returning from holiday I was extremely excited to start producing blog posts yet felt unsure what to write about. I put a lot of pressure on myself to start creating more content and even though I have a lot of ideas I haven't managed to put them down. The more I thought about it the more it stressed me out. It troubled me that the content wasn't out on time, that it wasn't what I promised myself and that I was having a huge block. Basically the more I thought about it the bigger my creative block got, until I understood I need to relax.
Creative blocks are quite common, everyone experiences them. Instead of obsessing about it try taking a break from it all. When you're passionate about what you do taking a break isn't easy, it consumes you. What's worse though, taking a break or publishing content you're not proud of? In the end it depends on you, if you're only interested in having some content out there then go for it, but if you care about what you produce then a break could be nice. Meditate, look for inspiration, put down ideas of what you would like to create, but don't put pressure on yourself. Take the time you need and do things at your own pace. Step back and realize you're only human, so give yourself permission to have a break.
Have you experienced a creative block?
Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses

Oh gosh I have a very flimsy posting schedule right now too as I keep on double-booking haha. You look SO gorgeous in this outfit; your styling is always ever so chic and you always show London in the most beautiful of lights :) Hope you're having a fabulous week so far!

Carina is totally normal! I also have created a lot of content during my trip to Thailand but I feel I need some more time to relax before spending more time on my blog...
ReplyDeleteI hope you unblock your brain very soon, as well as I expect mine to be unblocked in less than a week hahaha
