We've noticed in both the Paris and New York Fashion Week round-up that the asymmetrical trend is here to stay and play. It almost felt as if it would replace the off shoulder trend, which has been delighting us these past few years. To be honest both trends are amazing and look flattering on everyone, so in my eyes one does not exclude the other. Even if the off shoulder trend stops being all the craze, I would still style the off shoulder pieces in my wardrobe.
This fab dress incorporates not only the asymmetrical trend, but also has ruffles, which only contributes to the sweet and feminine feel of the dress. I adore cute pieces, but today I wanted more character and more of a "fierce punch" to my look, so I styled the dress with fishnet tights and heeled combat boots. The contrast between the dress and fishnet tights creates a lovely effect and I adore the edgy vibe fishnet tights can give to an otherwise sweet outfit.
This dress was a gift from Cari's Closet, Ireland based shop. I mean, it has my name, of course I had to check it out! Have a look if you're curious.

Shaming and judging people is never ok. Sometimes words aren't even needed, you look at them with disgust thinking God knows what. Maybe you think they won't notice or that you have a pokerface so they couldn't possibly see through. Sometimes you're on the street with friends, so you giggle and point or talk about someone's choices to each other. Well, that person can probably see through or hear you. Would you like it if that happened to you?
Realistically speaking, you'll never wear an outfit that everyone loves and that's ok. With time I've learned to appreciate looks for what they are, even if they don't reflect my own style. We are all different! Fashion is meant to be fun! So, instead of fashion shaming someone, try to appreciate the effort they put in, try to value the outfit for what it is and respect everyone's preferences.
I wore this little number and as you can probably guess it got me a lot of looks and whispers. Did I care? No, because it's a fun outfit. This striped romper has off shoulder details and a cape/train, so I'm basically a superhero. ahaha Ok, maybe not, but it puts a smile on my face. The fishnet tights and boots give an edgy vibe, which I love.
Do you know what's the best thing to do when people are trying to fashion shame you? Honey, hold your head up higher and strut right by them. You do you!
Curious, I even asked my boyfriend if he was ashamed, since some people were starring. Of course he wasn't and he didn't care. If your boyfriend is embarrassed or fashion shames you, you should have a serious talk. Your significant other should always support you!
Don't let strangers take away your happiness!

Spring is all about pastel colors and romantic hues, but what about the girl who likes wearing all black no matter what season it is? Why should she feel less "springy", just because she doesn't enjoy pastel shades? Today's post is for all of my fashionistas who enjoy rocking an all black look all day everyday!
Except the pastel colors, the most important characteristics in a spring look are the fabrics. As soon as the weather gets warmer, everyone is wearing flowing pieces and crochets. From the pictures you see that I opted for a crochet blouse with bell sleeves. The bell sleeves aren't just trendy, they also give movement to the look and for a touch of "badass", I added a faux leather crop top underneath. The bottom half consists of a light fabric pair of culottes and fishnet stockings. As you can see I combined different trends and vibes to create a more complex look.
The crochet, flowing fabrics and bell sleeves offer the spring elements needed in this outfit, while the faux leather crop and the fishnet stockings give it character.

Mother Nature has been incredibly generous with Milan, offering a full week of sunny and warm days. A bit of wind from time to time, but overall it felt like spring is almost here. Hopefully this won't jinx it, because I'm most certainly getting addicted to the warmth of the beams on my cheeks.
Fishnet stockings had a bad reputation until a year or so ago, but now they're the perfect detail for some edge, transforming a simple look into something sassy. Last week I shared a look pairing them with a skirt and I hope to bring you even more looks on how to style them in different ways.
Don't you find it funny how I blend in with the window shop in the background? That was not intentional!
Today's look pairs fishnet tights with culottes and pumps. Keeping it simple, I added a crop top and a grey coat to top it off. Accessories wise, I opted for dainty golden rings and a choker with gold ring. You'll notice the pumps also have gold details. To brighten up the look, I added a teal clutch. For something a bit different, I styled my hair with two braids that end in space buns.

Today is all about happiness! The sun was out for a couple of moments, which meant I managed to shoot a few pictures for you. I've been dying to share a look with this metallic pleated skirt. Pleated skirts are by nature very feminine and romantic, but with a little bit of creativity they can also be sporty or edgy. To give it an edgy vibe I styled it with fishnet tights, a choker and leather jacket. To make it look more casual, I added a pom pom hat and a loose fitted shirt. Put all the elements together and it transforms the elegant pleated skirt into something more relaxed with an avant-garde element.
Back to happiness! Let's talk about my gorgeous rings from Happiness Boutique. The boutique carries beautiful designs and qualitative products at affordable prices, not to mention they come in the cutest packaging. This is a german brand born from the wish to spread happiness and inspire people. I mean...who doesn't love a brand with a lovely philosophy?!
The two rings I'm rocking are rose gold plated titanium and as you can see they have a minimalist and chic look. I've been obsessed with the evil eye ring (clickable links at the end). Sadly the wrap one is a bit too big for me, but I still wanted to show it to you. Another fun thing is their reward program and bi-monthly giveaways, which you should definitely check out when purchasing. The lovely girls at Happiness Boutique also offered me a 10% discount code for you, my beautiful readers, it's carinavardie, so make sure to use it when purchasing.
While the items were sent to me, this isn't a paid post! These are my genuine opinions, I do not gain anything from the links!
Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses.
