Sparkly Season Almost Here

Is it to early to start sparkly season mid-October? Not in my books! Sparkly pieces can add some glamour and shimmer to any outfit, but it can be difficult to style them in a way that is both casual and elegant. Here are some tips on how to do just that:

  1. Balance is key. If you're wearing a sparkly top, pair it with more casual, understated bottoms like jeans or a skirt, in a solid colour. On the other hand, if you're wearing sparkly pants or a skirt, balance them out with a more simple, solid-colored top.
  2. Choose the right accessories. Sparkly clothes can stand on their own, so keep your accessories minimal. Opting for dainty jewelry will compliment the look and will add a touch of shine without overwhelming your outfit.
  3. Opt for casual, comfortable shoes. Sparkly clothes can already be a bit dressy, so opt for casual shoes like sneakers or boots to keep the look more relaxed.
  4. Layer your sparkly pieces. If you're feeling a bit self-conscious about wearing a lot of sparkle, try layering your sparkly pieces under more understated clothing. For example, I wore my sparkly top under a blazer to tone it down.
  5. Embrace the sparkle. If you're feeling confident and want to embrace the sparkle, go for it! Confidence can make any outfit, it’s all about how YOU wear the clothes. Remember YOU wear them, DON’T let them wear you!

By following these tips, you can rock sparkly clothes in a casual yet elegant way. Remember, the key is to balance your sparkly pieces with more understated items and to keep your accessories minimal. So go ahead and add some shimmer to your wardrobe – you'll be sure to turn heads with your chic, casual-yet-elegant sparkly style!
