First video of the year and starting with a bang! This week I'm sharing a Mytheresa unboxing containing my first Zimmermann dress and first pair of Aquazzura pumps. Eeeek! It's that wonderful time of the year, fashion month is here. Fashionistas everywhere rejoice finding out next season's trends and planing how to integrate them in their style. New York kicked it off as usual delighting us with shows from some of my favorite designers. A reoccurring trend has been autumn florals and checks. Checks have been a strong trend since last year and their reign continues. As for florals we all know they come back every spring and autumn, we all love them. We're charmed by feminine silhouettes and bold colors. As it's one of my favorite colors, I especially love seeing petrol blue as a trend color for next autumn. There are some designers's collections that just bring me joy to discover and Zimmermann is one of them. I included one of the gorgeous designs in my luxury birthday wishlist, still in love with it. When I look at this collection it just screams Zimmermann, you would be able to pick it up from a line up. It has the usual vibes, I wouldn't say it's anything groundbreaking, though there are some fresh elements to it.
As usual we have a lot of bohemian and romantic floral patterns with feminine silhouettes. I adore the ongoing takes on statement sleeves, visible in the Zimmermann collection through puffy shoulders, bell sleeves and balloon sleeves all in one. Another element that I love was the one off shoulder styling, which reminds me of my style in high school. One off shoulder was my thing, so I'm happy it's coming back. Of course all of the fabrics are light and flowing, a dream. Predictable? Yes, but beautiful nonetheless.
