How to style your coffee table

Hello beautiful people!

Today's post is different, but not a new concept on the blog. It is however just the second time I wrote a "How to" post, which shame on me cause I should have written a few more in so many years of blogging. The first similar post was published last year and it featured styling all black looks, which you can still check out, if you would like to. In this post I'll share my way of organising and arranging a vintage coffee table. Hope you'll get some inspiration from this.

1.  I think the most important thing is to let your personality and passions shine through. The easiest way to achieve this is to stack or display some encyclopaedias or glossy magazines. In my case I love fashion, traveling, luxury so I chose some books and a magazine to showcase exactly that. They are also awesome to look through when you're lacking inspiration or motivation.

2. Everybody loves candles and why wouldn't we?! They're pretty and smell divine, creating a comforting environment.

3. Having flowers in the house is a must in my opinion. They can be in pots or in a vase, doesn't really matter. They are visually appealing, they smell amazing and personally they make me happy. It's not something major, but just knowing I have plants and flowers gives me a nice vibe. Also, attending to them is very relaxing.

4. Since it's a coffee table, it's absolutely necessary to have some coffee or tea and if we're at it, why not add some cookies or sweets?! I love drinking tea and have a few cups every day. Of course, I also love sweets so having a cup of tea requires at least a cookie... or three in my case.

5. A cute notebook is my last essential. I'm not going to lie and say I always organise everything, but I enjoy writing to-do and shopping lists. Also, when inspiration strikes and a good post idea appears it's good to write it down. Something I want to try is having a notebook on my bedside table, because I find that inspiration strikes the most at night, before going to sleep and 80-90% of the time I forget what it was about.

As you can see our coffee table is hallow inside, which is why my mother filled it up with green sand and all the shells we, my sister and I, have found in the sea. As you can imagine it took a long time to gather all of these, but we loved, and I still do, snorkelling and looking for shells on the beach. These were all found on our holidays as children and I love that she displayed them so beautifully.

What are your coffee table essentials?

More cool ideas here, check it out.

Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses
