Rathaus - Town Hall

Rathaus is the building that serves both as the seat of the mayor and city council. As you may have guessed it, it also has a gothic architectural structure and was built between 1872 and 1883. It is surrounded by the Rathauspark and has the Burgtheater across the street.

Around the year there are always different festivities and events organised at the Rathhaus. From January until March there is the "Eistraum", in April there will be the "Steiermarkdorf", July - September the Filmfestival and from November till December the famous Christkinlmarkt. These are just some of the known events, there will also be the Lifeball and some other festivities.
