Eyebrow Grooming Tips

Eyebrows are more important than you might think, they frame your face balancing your features. You can opt for different ways of grooming and filling them in, going from a strong brow to a soft feathery one. It took me a while to really start taking care of my brows and understanding their role. If you're curious to hear about my grooming tips, scroll down.

Have a pink-tastic day!

1. Hydrate your brows. As weird as this may sound, like everything else, you need to hydrate your brows. Healthy brows grow stronger and longer. One of my best friends suggested using castor oil every night. Just apply it with a q-tip/ cotton swab. Here's an extra tip for you: if you apply castor oil on your lashes, they will also grow longer and stronger.

2. Follow your natural shape. It's easy to go overboard with plucking or waxing. The most important thing is to have a good base, so you have to be realistic and work with what you were given. You can always alter the shape a bit, but it's hard to completely change it. For the longest time, I wished for a more arched brow, but that's not how my brows grow. Instead of over plucking, I learned to accept them. Valuing them helped improve my skills in filling and shaping them.

3. Pluck them while they're filled in. This took me a while to learn, but it's the best tip I can give you. So, if you take one thing from this post, this should be it! Fill in the shape you like and tweeze what's outside the lines. Remember to always use a magnifying mirror and bright light.

Don't be frighten to groom your brows at home and don't feel pressured to go to a salon. I for one get very stressed by the idea of someone else waxing my brows, because they might get it wrong and leave me with too skinny brows. I already have a lot of sparse areas in the tail of my brow, so I wouldn't want anyone to worsen it. However, others might get stressed out by the thought of plucking their brows on their on. Choose the most relaxing and stress free option for you. Remember that no matter what, it's important for you to be happy with the result. So take your time!

  2. Your eyebrows are perfect!!! Leaving my brows alone for a while to let them grow was one of the best decisions I've ever made, but I totally agree with your tips!
