The holiday season is one of the most exciting times of the year, for me. I love decorating the tree and making my house all homey and warm. It's something that as an adult I've made a conscious decision of doing every year because of the joy it brings me. The smell of pine tree and cinnamon candles filling the house, being cozy in a blanket on the couch while watching a Christmas movie and enjoying hot chocolate - I'm telling you, it's pure bliss. As far as traditions go, of course there's also at least one Christmas lunch/dinner involved. So how do you pick that perfect outfit? Is there maybe too much pressure on it being perfect? Let's jump right in!

This was a very exciting lookbook to film and my first Holiday one. I wanted it to be glam and put together. Even though most of us can't celebrate Christmas the way we're used to, we can at least get ready and enjoy wearing a beautiful look. It helps me feel better at least and hopefully it will inspire you to try this out. Who knows, might be fun and lift your spirits. Welcome to the second installment of this year's gift guide series. As mentioned in the last one, these are one of my favorite posts to read during December as I love to get inspired for my own wishlist or gifts for my family. I don't tend to buy Christmas gifts far in advance, unless I see something that really speaks to me and I know someone would love to receive it. Hence why my Gift Guide gets posted in December. My mom always tells me that it's more difficult to buy me gifts as I tend to buy them for myself before anyone gets the chance to. Well, hello there. Grab a cup of tea or coffee, cause we're about to get close and personal, it might be a long post...ahaha.
Let's start from the beginning, for those of you who don't know these things. I come from Bucharest, Romania and studied in Vienna, Austria, which means I don't get to spend as much quality time with my family as I would love to. I don't care if this is cheesy, I love spending time with my family. For those who are wondering I'm 24 years old. I've always been close to my family and even though I live in another country we talk a lot, but being able to stay so long and see them daily is one of the best things about Christmas.
To be completely honest, another thing I love about Christmas is the food. If you haven't tried Romanian food, try looking into it, it's delicious and I'll be sure to share some foodie pictures after Christmas. It's also nice because I get to help my mother with cooking, which means I'm also learning so someday I'll make everything by myself. Not to mention I love helping her cook, because I always get to try things before everybody else, which is awesome when you're a foodie.
I would be lying if I didn't say I'm also excited for presents, everybody is. Don't listen to them if they say otherwise...ahaha. I don't really care if it's just chocolate or something else, I enjoy the surprise ...and the chocolate.. I'm kidding...well not really, someone needs to gift me chocolate.
Decorating is also really fun, especially when you do it with loved ones, though cleaning up afterwards isn't as much fun. I love making the Christmas tree and putting all the gifts under it. Christmas carols are also really nice, it just makes everything more festive, for me at least.

Because apparently I lack control, today I come to you with another beauty mini-haul. In my defence the Naked 3 was a christmas gift, which was very considerate and nice. As you may know I was very happy the Naked 3 was coming out and planed getting my hands on it. I own the Naked 1 and I adore it, the formulation is great : pigmented, creamy and lovely colours.
The MAC pro longwear concealer has been raved about a lot this past year, many beauty bloggers consider it a holy grail item. This is the reason I wanted to try it out and since MAC does make a light enough shade for me, this item is halfway into being my holy grail concealer. I'll let you know after I test it more.
The nail polish I picked up some time ago, but didn't share it with you so I figured why not. I'm in love with the sand nail polishes from OPI, thus I got my hands on another one. Because like I said I lack some control, I already have my eyes on another sand polish.

I spent this lovely christmas day at the mountains with family. Since we went there, I chose a comfy and warm outfit, wearing mostly black with the focus on my new beanie with ears. It's so cute, I got it as a gift and I love it. The outfit itself is nothing special, it's actually really basic, but thought I would share it.
As a "guest" I have again my sister, I'll be posting also her christmas outfit at the mountain. She went with a more colourful outfit, so it should be more helpful and fun to watch.

I kind of got sick after my trip to Slovenia, so I didn't feel in the mood to take any pictures or write a tag post. Instead I decided to write a "rambling" post, where I talk about various things.
First of all I wanted to share with you what I cooked for my early Christmas Dinner with my boyfriend. I got my inspiration from Pinterest, I could stare at that site for hours and I periodically do.
I decided on the following : as a starter I made bruschetta with avocado and prosciutto, for the first course Lasagne Rolls and for the main course oven baked chicken thighs with bacon mashed potatoes. The desert was the only thing I didn't get from Pinterest and it was Croissants filled with Nutella and Cherries.
I tried to incorporate some italian influences in the dinner, since my boyfriend is Italian. I'll share some pictures from my Pinterest inspiration because I forgot to take any while preparing dinner.
