The Grand Palace is on of the most famous landmarks to visit in Bangkok, it has a very detailed architecture and attracts a lot of visitors each day. It was different and a learning experience of the Thai craftsmanship. I have to say they do love their gold in architectural pieces.
They have a rule of covering your shoulders and knees, which I did, but was still provided with additional garments to cover myself properly. Out of respect one should be covered, I can understand that, however there were 36 degrees outside. I could feel myself slowly melting and with an extra layer of fabric it was like provoking me to melt. Anyway, I respect their tradition.
