I may have moved from Milan, but that doesn't mean it's not always in my heart. Milan is a wonderful city full of vibrancy, beauty and fashion - it's always a pleasure to come back, not to mention I have some of my best friends there who I'm always over the moon happy to see. However if there's something I always regret when moving to a new city is that I didn't get to explore the one I was living in even more. Does anyone else feel that way or is it just me? I'm really trying not to make that mistake with London and attempting to explore it a bit more with every chance I get.
Back to Milan now, one of the less known places you can visit, that is truly stunning to see, is the San Lorenzo Basilica. The Basilica is one of the oldest churches in Milan, but even more spectacular are the Colonne di San Lorenzo in front. These are a group of ancient Rome ruins that had been moved to Milan. They are a group of 16 Corinthian columns which allegedly have been removed from either a 2nd century temple or a public bath house. The Colonne di San Lorenzo are remarkable no matter what structure they came from and if you're curious to visit them, the ruins are located close to Navigli - a set of interconnected canals that are surrounded by cute local restaurants, gelateria and shops. That whole area has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere I really love. It's the perfect place to go have an aperitivo and enjoy the Milanese evenings.
Have you visited Milan? Which less known places do you adore?
Have a pink-tastic day!

As I'm in the process of decorating our new flat I wonder if I could decorate it as fabulously as Elan Cafe? Not sure the boyfriend would let my craziness go to that extent, but imagine how beautiful it would be. I already purchased a pink chair for the "office" area, which has brought me a lot of joy. Really looking forward to buying the last bits and then sharing a home haul and home tour. Our first flat in London hadn't been what I envisioned which is why I never shared too much of it, however the new one is a dream. It makes me so happy to wake up in a place that feels like my home, changes your whole mood for the day. Funny how some small details make all the difference in the world. Of course home is where your heart is, but let's be honest the environment you live in makes a difference. Trust someone who has lived in 5 countries and over 10 homes.
I always find that creating a space you feel comfortable in, zen and happy can actually help inspire and inspirit you. As an example, in our first London apartment I never wanted to film because it didn't represent me, it felt disconnected and inappropriate. Now I'm creating a corner that not only makes me happy, but inspires and represents me. It's not even finished and whenever I look at it something inside is happy and feels motivated to create content. I've had a vision for a long time, but recently my biggest inspiration has been my sister. She transformed her new flat into a content creators dream. Every corner oozes with charm and chicness. While I can't show you the new apartment yet, expect petrol blue and pink motives, alongside marble and gold details. Know that Elan has been my inspiration, but without transforming the flat into an overly feminine space.
Where did you draw inspiration from when decorating your home?
Have a pink-tastic day!

Happy National Romanian Day to all my awesome Romanian readers! In case you're new here and didn't know, I'm Romanian and while I moved 7-ish years ago from my beautiful country, I still love visiting and care about it. I have shared multiple posts from home during my years of blogging, but you can check out my faves here, here and here.
Now let's talk about this outfit! If wide leg or palazzo pants look good with crop tops, just imagine styling them with cute jumpers and a leather jacket on top. It's one of those wonderful outfits that stand out thanks to their simplicity, something easy yet chic you can pop on and go conquer the day.
