Suits have been the center of attention for two years now and as we have been seeing all over the runways they will continue to reign in seasons to come. They are flattering and empowering, best of all can be styled up or down. As a woman wearing a structured suit with a gorgeous pair of heels I feel not only strong and confident, but also sexy. Suits also look stylish worn with sneakers, it gives a youthful and fresh perspective on the look.

If you're new to the trend start with a matching suit in black or navy. Once you feel more comfortable with that you can mix and match colors and patterns, going bolder and having more fun with it. Suits don't have to be corporate boring. Even if prints, patterns or colors aren't your thing you can still play with different textures and cuts.

The suit I'm sharing today is one I put together by styling a pair of Zara trousers I've had for more than a year now with this new River Island blazer. The blazer has ruffled flute sleeves, making it more interesting and feminine, while the trousers have a gold stripe detail on the waist cinching you in. The small details are the ones that help you pop and distinguish yourself. Here are my tips for styling suits.

1. Confidence is key, so pick a suit that makes you feel fabulous. The material, cut, color and style should all be to your highest standards. Be careful how it fits, have the patience to find the right one for you. If all those elements are perfect for you, naturally you will feel confident in it.

2. Play and match feminine with masculine elements. Suits have been seen as masculine for a very long time, but women are now proving they can wear it more stylish. Find your sweet spot of mixing masculine and feminine factors, there isn't one formula that works for all.

3. Be creative yet polished. Have fun with your styling by incorporating colors, patterns or interesting textures, but stay sophisticated.

For the past week I've been on vacation in Paradise aka the Dominican Republic, enjoying the sun and disconnecting a bit. Before leaving I scheduled the posts for the past week and left my laptop at home. The internet over there was horrible, but I did manage to post a few pictures and stories on my Instagram, which you can check out here. It was quite relaxing to leave my laptop behind, but I did shoot a ton of outfit pictures which you'll be seeing on the blog for the next weeks.

Now, I've wanted to find a charming wings street art for years and when I finally found this one on vacation, I was over the moon excited. Luckily, without knowing about the wall, I had packed the perfect outfit for it, that features my new skirt from my Asos Haul. This skirt is a dream, so fun and easy to wear. You'll notice with all of my vacation outfits, that they are very feminine yet simple and comfortable.

Also tomorrow is my birthday, I'll be 26. I have some mixed feelings about that, but we'll talk more about it tomorrow.

Where are you going on vacation this summer?

Mother Nature has been incredibly generous with Milan, offering a full week of sunny and warm days. A bit of wind from time to time, but overall it felt like spring is almost here. Hopefully this won't jinx it, because I'm most certainly getting addicted to the warmth of the beams on my cheeks.

Fishnet stockings had a bad reputation until a year or so ago, but now they're the perfect detail for some edge, transforming a simple look into something sassy. Last week I shared a look pairing them with a skirt and I hope to bring you even more looks on how to style them in different ways.

Don't you find it funny how I blend in with the window shop in the background? That was not intentional!

Today's look pairs fishnet tights with culottes and pumps. Keeping it simple, I added a crop top and a grey coat to top it off. Accessories wise, I opted for dainty golden rings and a choker with gold ring. You'll notice the pumps also have gold details. To brighten up the look, I added a teal clutch. For something a bit different, I styled my hair with two braids that end in space buns.

Fashion Month has officially started, as you all probably know. In New York first, will be followed by London, Milan and Paris. It will be my first time in Milan during Fashion Week and while I don't have event invites, sadly, I look forward to attending events open to the public.

To celebrate the start of fashion month, I decided to create a playful slightly edgy look. Most of the playfulness comes from the hairstyle, which is meant to look like Minnie ears. Quite fun to wear and it surely got a lot of looks. The back of the crop top offers a kittenish vibe, while the skirt gives a feminine effect. The edgy details are in form of a choker and boots. All of the details help create a complex outfit, even with the minimal appearance.

Hello my beautiful Dolls!

It was long overdue to "steal" one of my boyfriends shirts again, since I haven't done it for a while. I wanted to try out something new and this was the perfect solution, though I don't think he would agree. I wonder if he'll ever get used to it? ahahah

Anyway, if you don't remember the other outfits in which I styled his shirts, check some : here, here, here and here. For this look I wanted to go for a tomboy inspired vibe, wearing the shirt as a jacket with a white crop top underneath, instead of a normal cami, ripped jeans and my block heeled boots, also added a studded statement bracelet for extra detail. It's not something I would usually go for, but it was quite fun wearing this outfit.

Let us not forget, fashion is all about experimenting and having fun! If we wanted to. and had the money to pull off multiple wardrobes, we could dress up in a different style everyday. Imagine walking up and thinking, hmmm today I want to go for a 50s/ 90s/ preppy/ feminine/ rocker/ altheleisure/ sporty/ etc. look.  It must be fun, like adult dress up, so when possible and in the mood I like to change it up. What do you think?

Lately I've been obsessed with my Quay sunglasses and neglected the others, so today I wanted to wear my Prada sunglasses. I don't know about you, but sometimes I like to choose a piece of clothing or accessory and style around it. Also, don't these sunglasses give you a Jackie O vibe?

The outfit is a bit sassy yet chic. You have to admit that high waisted anything was made for crop tops, they just pair best together. This crop is very simple in the front with a bolder back, you know, contributing to that sassy vibe, along with the over the knee boots. I think the vest makes it feel more demure, not showing as much skin. Do you like it?

I find today's outfit a little cheeky thanks to the hat. However I love the pop of colour and boldness that it gives, but also helps me hide a bad hair day. ahaha As promised, it's another nautical outfit. This one is also causal and chic, perhaps I'll try a more glamorous one next time.
