Today I want to talk about something very important, well to me at least. I know this is a lifestyle blog, which at times can seem shallow, however I'm also for girl empowerment. Today we'll discuss what this means for me.
I believe we should all support each other as girls, bloggers and humans. We should compliment each other more and never put down or criticise. Don't you feel a little bit better when a girl compliments you? Because nowadays girls don't do it as often, so hearing it from them sounds more honest and valuable. Boys please don't get mad, your compliments are highly appreciated. I'm starting to get off topic... My point would be for us to treat each other nicely and help each other out. We shouldn't throw names around and act mean, on the contrary be kind and not just now because it's the holidays, all year round.
Also my cuties, a mistake I'm guilty of, we should all stop comparing ourselves with anyone. We should aspire to be our best version, not look like someone else. I know this is easier said than done, however comparing ourselves with photoshopped magazines doesn't seem logical, now does it? It's normal for us all to look different and you're all beautiful. I love fashion and beauty magazines, I love the campaigns and editorials, the art and way in which the picture was taken, but try to appreciate them for what they are without creating a comparison.
I don't want to bore you or repeat myself, so we'll just draw a short conclusion. Try to praise and appreciate all the women in your life a little bit more, I'm not saying you don't already, just be more vocal about it. It might be like a boost of confidence for someone, boys and girls. Boys also deserve to be complimented and cherished.
If you're wondering what has gotten into me, it all started after I posted a picture on my Facebook page, go check it out. If this wasn't your cup of tea, don't worry normal posts will be back.
Have a pink-tastic day!
