Birthday Look: Palazzo Pants & Lace Crop

Palazzo pants styled with crop tops are my favourite thing to wear at the moment. The pants are flowing and comfortable, while still looking stylish, which is very important with the hot weather. Crop tops are just super cute, feminine and flirty.

I would have to say a variation of this is my Go-To at the moment. Which is your current most worn outfit?

Birthday

My birthday is finally here, though if you know me personally you know I view it as just another day. I don't tend to get overexcited over it, maybe sometimes a bit melancholic.

This weekend was amazing. I spent it in Munich with my sister and we had the best time. We ate delicious food, went dancing, went to the cinema, but the most important part was that we were together no matter what the activity was. Since we hadn't seen each other since Christmas, it was even more fun to spend the weekend together.

After a wonderful weekend alongside my amazing sister, we travelled back to Vienna today, where I spent the day with my sweet friends. It was a very emotional day for me, because I hadn't expected  them to surprise me like this. Just hanging out with them was so awesome, we talked, ate cake and just enjoyed the day.

I definitely encourage everyone to just appreciate the small things and the important people in your life!

Tomorrow I'll upload my second video on YouTube and Wednesday I'll share a birthday look blog post, so make sure to come back and please follow my social media.

Have a pink-tastic day!

25 things I learned before turning 25

As you can see from the title, this post will be very different to my usual writing. I thought it would be fun to share 25 things I learned. This is a very laid back post sharing from my experience, it doesn't have to be the same for everyone. Also, some are more fun than others and that's ok.

1. Life's not fair,

2. But that is more than ok, make the most of what you got.

3. Family is everything, never forget that!

4. Some friendships won't last,

5. Just as some relationships won't.

6. What you think of yourself is more important than what other people think!

7. It's important to love yourself

8. And forgive yourself and others,

9. Just be kind to yourself, can't stress this enough.

10. The small imperfections over which you obsess aren't visible to others, it's just in your head.

11. Don't take life changing decisions when you're upset!

12. Don't insult people even if they made you angry.

13. Tell your loved ones how much you love and appreciate them.

14. Just dance, it will make you feel better.

15. Have fun,

16. But work hard.

17. It's ok for things to move along slowly, so don't give up on your dreams.

18. Your dreams are important, even if you're the only one believing in yourself.

19. It's ok to be sad, take time to feel whatever the F*** you want.

20. Always carry water and snacks, no need to be hangry and cranky. I am so guilty of this, you have no idea!

21. Travel, as far as you can for as long as you can. Nowadays it feels like everyone is constantly in the Maldive or any other Paradise looking place, which isn't possible for everyone and that's ok. Visit within your country, explore whatever suits you, but don't loose that wonderful curiosity you had as a child to see and know everything!

22. Buy things that make you happy, but try to choose quality over quantity. Go for the items in which you feel fabulous, no matter what other people think and don't buy clothes just because they're in sales!

23. Make beautiful memories with your friends and family, take loads of pictures and never forget the happy feelings someone made you feel.

24. BE COURAGEOUS to try something new and to chase your dreams.

25. You still have so much more to learn and to mess up. Life is full of surprises and you have to live it fully and happily, so don't stress over every little thing and be compassionate.

Baby Blue Bell Sleeves

My birthday weekend has officially begun! Yay! We're leaving for Munich to visit my sister. To be honest I haven't planed anything crazy, just hanging out with her and roaming around Munich.

Since I like to keep it comfy while traveling, I went for this grey dress with a flowing top with bell sleeves. How cute are these sleeves? The top is meant to be worn as an off shoulder, but it kept coming up and it looked cute, so I decided to wear it a bit differently. You know I like my clothing to be multi-functional.

What are your weekend plans?

Yoins Haul & Review

Hello my lovely Dolls!

Today I want to share with you a haul and review. Let's start by quickly informing you about the brand. Yoins is an online shop established in 2014, that targets young people who love fashion, offering qualitative pieces at affordable prices.

When they contacted me, I was happy to place an order to see how the clothes are. I opted for three summer pieces, so you'll be able to sense a theme here. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. The lace is very soft, which is very important. No one wants clothes that itch your skin! The jumpsuit material isn't see-through, which was my concern. Overall I am happy with my choices. The only downside was the delivery time. It took a good few weeks for the items to arrive, which isn't ideal.

I'll share some future outfit posts wearing these. Have you heard about the site?

Preppy Style in Green Tones

If you've been a loyal reader of my blog, than you know my love for this skirt is never ending. It's a colourful, midi A-line piece which I bought in Berlin about six-seven years ago. You know I donate twice a year everything that doesn't get worn and this skirt manages to always remain in my wardrobe. I have tried finding a similar one in other shades, but haven't had any success. Seeing how much I wore it and how many times it was washed, I must say the quality is impressive.

This time I paired it with ballerinas and a structured blouse with a chiffon back. To complete the look I opted for a braided hairstyle and bow detailed jewellery.

Do you have any pieces in your wardrobe that survive every closet purge?

Get to know me Video

Hello my beautiful Dolls!

I am super excited to share with you my first YouTube video. I have asked a few times on the blog if you would love to see videos and have always gotten a very positive response. Even though it took me a while to finally film and gather the courage to post it, it is finally up.

One of you suggested a video where you find out more about me, which is why I decided to do a "Interview" type video. I wanted to make it more fun, hence the follow me around theme and the flash questions.

Please check it out and let me know what you think! I would love it if you would subscribe!

Eyelet Dress - Minimal Glam

Eyelet designs have been having a moment lately and I really enjoy the look, which is why I fell head over heels over this dress. It looks sophisticated yet fun. We all know how important it is to have cute little black dresses and this was definitely a good piece to add to my wardrobe. Because of the classy look, it's an item I will love even after the "trendy" phase fades.

I wore this outfit to the opera house for a ballet piece that I attended with my mother. It was a new kind of activity, but fun as it was mother-daughter time. The make-up is dewy and very highlighted with bold red lips, but otherwise very minimal.

Do you think eyelet clothing is here to stay?

Sunday Style Inspo

Today's Sunday style inspo is all about diamonds and jewellery, after all diamonds are a girl's best friend. Not all have diamonds, some have pearls, while others are dainty pieces with no precious stones. But no matter the finish, jewellery pieces can transform a look.

Which is your favourite jewellery metal? Personally I love white gold or rose gold the most!

CaseApp Review & Discount Code

After getting my phone last year, I've been on the hunt for a pretty case to make my new device look even nicer, but also more me, so when CaseApp.es contacted me to try out their products I was very happy.

The brand offers both phone cases and laptop stickers. You know I love teal and aqua colours, but also marble, so when I saw they had a design including both, I had to get my hands on it.

You can buy from a large selection of cases or try their "carcasas personalizadas"service. Seeing as marble is a statement design on its own, I didn't want to add anything extra.  As for the "vinilos decorativos", of course I went with a matching one. The cool thing was that they had it in black marble. I know most people would go for seasonal items, but I wanted something classic which I would love no matter what time of the year we're in.

The phone case looks and feels durable, not to mention smooth to the touch. The design has a matte finish, which I'm all about. Similar to the phone case, the laptop sticker is matte, but has a grainer feel which means it won't scratch easily. This is a great plus, as I tend to travel with my laptop and don't want it to scratch in my bag.

The postoffice damaged my first package and I was pleasantly surprised how amazing the customers support from CaseApp was. After showing them the damaged products, they sent me new ones. I think having a great customers support is vital for any business. Needless to say I adore them for that.

A little something for you!
Caseapp offered me a 20% discount code for you guys! Just use CARINAVARDIE20!

Have you tried their products? What did you think?

Since I don't want any misunderstandings or mean comments, I'm going to go ahead and make it clear that this isn't an affiliation, I don't receive anything if you buy from them. It's just a nice gesture of CaseApp to offer you a better deal. My review is honest and based on my personal experience with the brand!

Lady in Red

The reason why I love red dresses, is that they make a statement on their own. They are fun and sassy, very easy to wear in the daytime or nighttime. This one I styled casually for a hot day, adding studded sandals and some dainty jewellery. The chocker has two cherries, which I find very cute.

Also, I'm obsessed with my short hair. I had forgotten how voluminous my hair is at this length, not to mention how much quicker it is to wash, dry and style. Don't get me wrong, I also love having long hair, but it's easier like this and for the summer time it works best having shorter hair.

Do you prefer longer or shorter hair?

Review: Gosh CC Cream

After half a month of daily blogging, it was time to incorporate a beauty post. If you remember a few years ago I reviewed the Gosh BB Cream, which I still love and use. It's a product I have repurchased a few times now.

It's important to mention that I have combination skin, which means my T-Zone is oily and the rest is normal to dry depending on the weather, my nutrition and stress levels. Since my nose and forehead also tend to get dry in the colder months, I always thought my skin was dehydrated and dry, but was corrected by my dermatologist that it's combo and dehydrated at times. Now on to the review!

Affordable Birthday Wishlist

As promised I'm sharing yesterday's missed post today. It's rather unusual for me to post twice in a day, but I wanted to make it up to you. This will be the last Birthday Wishlist post. They were a lot of fun! If you liked them, I can do a fourth one, let me know below.

In this post you'll see items I've been craving from Asos and ZARA. The first part will be from Asos and I wrote above each item the brand, as you know that Asos holds a lot of different brands. This isn't sponsored, I just happen to love the two.

Bright & Floral Outfit

I haven't worn a bright coloured outfit in what feels like forever. As you have seen, usually my looks are monochrome or pastel/light coloured. To be honest, I used to wear a lot of bright colours, especially as a child, as you saw in my Style Evolution post, but now they feel outside my comfort zone. This is the reason I went for this look, to push myself and try something fun.

Florals are always in for spring and summer. This kind of print is feminine and romantic. To add some sass to the look, I added this bright red top which has the flowing open sleeves. Trust me when I say the open sleeves are a lot of fun to play with. Don't believe me?! Check out my Instagram to see!

Sorry for missing yesterday's post! I will write another post tonight to make up for it.

Nautical Outfit

Every summer I share at least one navy inspired outfit, since it's always in style, looking very chic no matter where you are, but especially at the seaside. This one won't be at the seaside, sadly.

I opted for a casual striped dress, which was very comfy to wear. Though, dresses are always very comfortable and easy to wear, just add some nice accessories and your outfit is ready. No fuss with matching tops with skirts or pants.

The dress was quite loose, which could look a bit undone, so I added a belt to cinch in the waist. Since this is a marine inspired look, of course I opted for a rope belt and a rope necklace which has an anchor to complete the ensemble. I mean, imagine how cute this look would have been on a boat, without the heels of course.

Do you like nautical outfits?

Food Diary #34

I have to admit I was more than thrilled when food posts were requested on my announcement post, so today I bring you a foodie post featuring some of the yumminess I ate while in Bucharest. A quick shoutout to all the cakes I ate too fast and that didn't stand any chance of being photographed. ahaha. I tried to drink a lot of cold pressed juices, but I also ate cake almost daily, so let's call it balance. Hope you like this tasty looking post!

Style Evolution

I find fashion evolution posts a lot of fun and a nice insight in someone else's style. Apart from this being a fashion evolution, you'll also be able to see my hair evolution.

When I was younger it used to be on the shorter side, but now I go through phases where it grows extremely long only to get cut it into a bob. As for my fashion style, I find that it has become more put-together and sophisticated, but still fun, edgy and sporty when it's appropriate. I like to experiment and have fun with fashion, which is what we should all do. Fashion is meant to be enjoyable!

Fashion Focus Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren is known for his polo shirts with the polo player on a horse, but their collection also contains luxury pieces. For this Fashion Focus I didn't want to use clothing from his sporty collection, but share a dressier option.

Since turtleneck clothing is so popular at the moment, I wanted to show you my way of wearing them in spring-summer. I opted for a light knit dress, which was perfect with the indecisive weather and paired it with metallic silver flats. Metallic clothing and accessories are also having a moment. This is a very demure trendy outfit for the fashionistas who don't like flashy looks. The finishing touches are a bandeau scarf tied around the head and a long necklace.

The look is very Parisian with a 60s vibe. Also, to point out the obvious, I cut my hair! It's a lot shorter and I love it! What do you think?

Thursday Motivation

Since Thursday is usually a day where we get a bit impatient, because we're so close to the weekend, but not quite there yet, I thought it would be a great and fun idea to share with you a quick pick me up post sharing my favourite motivational and funny quotes at the moment. Hang in there everyone! The weekend is almost here!

Athleisure Stroll

Today's outfit is very relaxed and athleisurey, featuring distressed jeans, Converse sneakers and a loose fitted shirt. It was perfect for this indecisive weather while taking a stroll in the park. I've discovered in the past few years that I actually really enjoy taking strolls through the city and through parks. It doesn't just help you relax, but you also get to admire the beautiful surroundings and find new spots for pictures.

Do you enjoy rediscovering your city?

Beauty Birthday Wishlist

Welcome to the second Birthday wishlist from this month! If you're new to my blog, I'll turn 25 on the 27th and to celebrate I decided to write three different wishlists. In case you missed the first one, it was a luxury one.

This one will be a mix of skincare and make-up, with a higher focus on skincare because I've been really researching and creating a routine for myself, which led to me wanting even more products. It is meant to inspire and show you new products, which maybe you didn't know. Hope you enjoy this post!

Dress shirt & Shorts

Happy Monday cuties!

Who's excited for the hot weather? I am, though 30 degrees C in the city aren't as fun as they would have been at the seaside. However it's still nice to start wearing shorts and sandals again. To balance out the look I added a light long shirt on top. I love the look of shorts with crop tops, but it seems more appropriate for the seaside, rather than the city.

Also, how lucky are we as girls to be able to wear really short shorts?! I sometimes feel sorry for men who mostly just have to endure in long or mid length pants.

How was your weekend?

Sunday Style Inspo

Mixing prints and patterns has been a huge trend this year and looks beautiful especially in the spring summer time, which is why I want to share some Pinterest inspiration featuring pattern on pattern. What do you think about this trend? Are you bold enough to pull it off?

Styling tip for those liking and wanting to try this bold trend, is to find a unifying colour which appears in all the prints and patterns. This will make the ensemble look appealing to the eye.

Cats & Romantic Fashion Vibes

It doesn't matter if you're a dog or cat person, I think we can all appreciate the cuteness of this cat print skirt! I mean, just look at it, it's adorable! This look is feminine and a bit romantic, but very simple.

The skirt and open back shirt are kind of statement pieces put together to create the appearance of a slightly elegant look, that's actually very comfortable. It's one of those outfits which you can wear almost anywhere : to brunch, lunch, dinner, strolling though the city, to the movies or to a date, it will look cute.

What do you think?

Paisley Off the Shoulder

It seems like too much time has passed by without me posting an off the shoulder look. I mean, how is this even possible?! Ahaha...So of course this is what I'm sharing today with you. Yay! I seriously love this trend, has to be my favourite from the last few years to say the least!

This is a very put together, stylish lunch or dinner outfit. The pattern of the blouse resembles a paisley floral rich with purple accents print, which is why I chose purple heels to match it. Though I like the look of prints and patterns mixed together on others, I wanted something more toned down for the rest of the outfit.

Also, this off the shoulder blouse is more elegant and could also be worn in autumn, though let's not get ahead of ourselves and enjoy summer! What do you think about this blouse?

Luxury Birthday Wishlist

Probably every fashionista loves luxury pieces and I am no different, so I thought why not create a luxury birthday wishlist. This month I'll create three different birthday wishlists, the luxury one, a beauty one and an affordable fashion one. Wishlists are a lot of fun, just to get inspired and discover new items, it doesn't mean I'll buy everything. Though, if any brand would love to send me my dream items I'm all up for it. ahaha. Anyway, let's dive right in.

Have a pink-tastic day!

Let's start with bags. Since I'm only human, of course I'm in love with Chanel.

How to keep your inner child alive - 5 Tips

Happy Children's Day everyone! A lot of countries celebrate children's day on the 1 of June, including Romania, which is why today's post will be all about keeping your inner child happy and alive.

Also, before we get started, who is excited for June and a month of everyday posting? For sure, I am, so don't forget to come back everyday for a new blog post. Don't forget to Follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Bloglovin

I believe that your inner child embodies your truest self! As a child you don't overthink every little thing, you just act without restrictions and do what makes you happy. You make mistakes and learn from them. You are honest, happy and enjoy the small things in life.

As you grow up it becomes harder to keep your inner child happy and alive. Responsibilities, worries and stress tend to take over you. However, your inner child is the one who dreams, is creative and has a rich imagination, which let's be honest makes our life better. Could you imagine a life without dreams or creativity? How dull and boring would that be?!

Enough rambling! Here are my tips :
