Backwards shirt at sunset

Hey there! Welcome back to a new outfit post!

How was your weekend, did you have fun? Mine was very pleasant and productive!

For this look, I'm adopting the backwards shirt trend, this time with a more casual vibe. Last backwards shirt outfit was very glam and sexy, while this time I approached it in a more relaxed feminine way. Because I also wanted to incorporate a slightly boho vibe, I styled my hair in a braided up-do.

Would love to get your opinion on the backwards shirt trend. Is it cool or silly?

La dolce vita - Day to Night

Happy Sunday Babes!

Today I wanted to try something new for this fashion inspiration post, so I decided to choose a pair of shoes and take them from day to night. The focus will be these gorgeous floral pumps, which are very summery and elegant.

The day outfit is delicate and girly, very soft combining the floral trend and the off the shoulder trend, while the night look is sexy and bold, with lots of lace and dainty details.

Which do you prefer? Day or night?

Geek Chic

Isn't spring amazing? There are flowers everywhere, which make for the perfect spring backdrop and of course they smell amazing setting a better, happier mood.

Geek Chic has made its way back into fashion since about last fall and today I wanted to share my take on this trend. As you all know, I don't often have special hairstyles, but for this look I created my modern version of the princess Leia buns. They are quite higher and could also resemble Minnie ears, whatever makes you happier. But don't they look cute?!

For the outfit I opted for a grey midi dress with an oversized, bit cropped cardigan paired with flats. As for accessories, I layered a short and long necklace. For the long one I chose a Minnie necklace, so cute.

What do you think about the Geek Chic comeback?

Announcement

Hello gorgeous!

In June I'll be turning 25, which is very hard to believe, I know, but true and to make it more special I decided to blog every day until my birthday. My birthday will be on the 27 June, imagine how funny and silly it would have been to announce blogging till my birthday and say it's on the 15 or an earlier date.

Anyway, the point of announcing it a little bit early is to involve you a little bit in what's coming. I already have some post ideas, but I would love it for you to tell me what you would like to see!

So, would you like wishlists, how-to, foodie, fashion, skincare, make-up, guest posts or even videos? Anything you think could be fun to read, leave a request below and I'll try to make a post with your requests.

Thank you for stopping by! Can't wait to get a feedback from you guys!

Have a pink-tastic day!

Fashion Focus Wolford + Surprise

Hi Dolls!

Today's post is very special, as I have a surprise guest on the blog, which never agrees to this, so maybe with a little encouragement she'll appear more often on the blog. We're talking about my beautiful mother, who is finally joining me in an outfit post! Yay!!

For my outfit, I'm wearing a top and dress/skirt from the Fatal collection from Wolford. The fun thing about these pieces is that there are multiple ways in which you can style them and change their shape, which makes them look like different pieces. This kind of clothing items are a quite good investment, especially the dress which I think they say can be "reshaped" in about 10 ways, still trying to figure all of them out. So far I've wore it as a tube midi dress, sweetheart line dress and skirt. So keep an eye out for more styling tips on this dress.

My mother wore a very elegant and classic look, combining a tweed jacket with a jumpsuit and high heels. It's glam yet sophisticated and chic. She's my mom, so I'm bias, but doesn't she look gorgeous?!

Food Diary #33

Welcome to a new Food Diary post babes!

This will be a mix of extremely healthy and very naughty, cause apparently I like extremes. Don't ask why, I haven't planned it this way, it just happened. I do try to eat on the healthy side, but sometimes fail miserably. However it is important to have a balance and not deprive ourselves.

What is your favourite dish?

Boxer braids & Swans

Today's outfit will be very casual-chic, featuring another favourite blouses of the moment. Surely, it doesn't surprise anyone that it has an open shoulder, ruffles and it's white. Since I haven't shared another look with boxer braids in a few months, it seemed like a cool idea to style my hair like this again.

While shooting by the river, I was joined by some swans. How cute are they?!

Edgy Tomboy

Hello my beautiful Dolls!

It was long overdue to "steal" one of my boyfriends shirts again, since I haven't done it for a while. I wanted to try out something new and this was the perfect solution, though I don't think he would agree. I wonder if he'll ever get used to it? ahahah

Anyway, if you don't remember the other outfits in which I styled his shirts, check some : here, here, here and here. For this look I wanted to go for a tomboy inspired vibe, wearing the shirt as a jacket with a white crop top underneath, instead of a normal cami, ripped jeans and my block heeled boots, also added a studded statement bracelet for extra detail. It's not something I would usually go for, but it was quite fun wearing this outfit.

Let us not forget, fashion is all about experimenting and having fun! If we wanted to. and had the money to pull off multiple wardrobes, we could dress up in a different style everyday. Imagine walking up and thinking, hmmm today I want to go for a 50s/ 90s/ preppy/ feminine/ rocker/ altheleisure/ sporty/ etc. look.  It must be fun, like adult dress up, so when possible and in the mood I like to change it up. What do you think?

Athleisure by the lake

You know how some people have "Happy places"? Like somewhere they feel peaceful yet joyful, they can put in order their thoughts and just feel at ease. Well, my happy place is by the water. It can be a lake or the sea, I slightly prefer the sea because of its salty smell. Therefor, this has to be one of my favourite shoots so far, location wise.

As for the outfit, to continue with my off the shoulder blouse obsession, I'm sharing the athleisure inspired way of styling it. It incorporates distressed jeans and my comfy Superstars. For the past two years I've been mostly wearing black jeans, but from time to time it's nice to bust out some light blue ones, especially since before I was loving them. I think they pair nicely with the blouse and the style I was going for.

What do you think about the location and this look?

Sunday Style Inspo

Since this week has been very "off the shoulder trend" centred, I wanted to write this Stye Inspo about that. The trend has been well loved not just by bloggers, but everyone. While walking down the street or scrolling on Instagram, you can clearly see everyone is adoring the off the shoulder trend. I think pieces like this are very feminine yet versatile, depending on what you match them with.

In this post I'll share with you the prettiest blouses and ways to wear them, which I found on Pinterest.
Hope you enjoy this.

Fashion Focus Zara

It wasn't my intention when I styled this look to make it an all Zara one, but it happened. I don't think it surprises any of you, seeing I have confessed my love and obsession for this brand.

Anyway, as promised I'm sharing a new way of wearing the off the shoulder blouse. If you remember, the first outfit was way more elegant and feminine. With this one I wanted to add a little edge and attitude, hence the faux leather jacket and statement necklace. It's still a bit glam thanks to the heels, make-up and dainty jewellery.

I plan to share also a casual and a sporty look wearing this blouse, just to show how versatile the piece is and of course, how obsessed I am with it. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! Do you have anything exciting planed?

Prada kind of day

Lately I've been obsessed with my Quay sunglasses and neglected the others, so today I wanted to wear my Prada sunglasses. I don't know about you, but sometimes I like to choose a piece of clothing or accessory and style around it. Also, don't these sunglasses give you a Jackie O vibe?

The outfit is a bit sassy yet chic. You have to admit that high waisted anything was made for crop tops, they just pair best together. This crop is very simple in the front with a bolder back, you know, contributing to that sassy vibe, along with the over the knee boots. I think the vest makes it feel more demure, not showing as much skin. Do you like it?

Like a Cupcake

Happy Monday my Loves!

On this wonderful day I decided to wear this off the shoulder blouse from Zara, which I love to pieces. It combines this seasons trends which I've been obsessed with, off the shoulder and ruffles. Because of the fluffy blouse, tight skirt and pastel colour I was feeling like a cupcake all day.

From time to time it's also nice to share a more colourful look, which is why I paired the blouse with my lavender mist Wolford dress, worn as a skirt here. If you remember from last year, small reminder here and here, I love this dress and how versatile it can be. Lately, I've also been loving to layer my necklaces adding a dainty piece and a longer fun one. What do you think?

Make sure to follow my blog to see more ways of styling this blouse and dress in future posts.

Pink Bubbles in Florence = Happy Child

If you're confused from the tittle and wondering "who's the child she's talking about?", please don't worry. I don't have a hidden child, I'm referring to myself as I still am a child at heart, who likes to play with bubbles and annoy everyone around me with them.

Following the styling theme from the first and second outfit from Florence, also this one has ruffly and puffy sleeves, cause you know, we have a theme going on. Sadly this is the last look from Florence, it was a short but sweet trip. Which was your favourite look?

Office Chic in Florence

Hi there!

How are you today? Glad to have you back for my second outfit from Florence! Today's look is a little bit more office-elegant-chic, though still comfortable to walk around and discover this gorgeous city.

For this one I added a pop of blue with my ruffled blouse, which you can admire in the third picture. I told you yesterday that ruffles are my current obsession and as you can see it wasn't a lie. When packing for Florence I didn't even realise there was a ruffle theme going on in my luggage.

Pink Ruffles in Florence

Welcome back Dolls!

As promised, today I'm sharing my first look from Florence. Since the weather was pleasantly sunny, I decided to incorporate a pop of pink to brighten the outfit. There was a lot of walking and exploring to do, so I opted for a comfortable look, which still is chic.

You may have noticed that I have a slight obsession with ruffles at the moment, which means this blouse also has ruffled sleeves. Ruffles just inspire femininity and cuteness in my opinion thus the love for it. What would you wear for a day exploring a new city?

Exploring Florence

Hello my beautiful Dolls!

After a short-ish leave of absence I'm back with a travel diary type post from Florence. This weekend has been the orthodox easter and I was lucky enough to celebrate it in this gorgeous city. It was my first time exploring Florence, so of course I have to share it with you. I am quite smitten with the city, the picturesque architecture makes it perfect for pictures btw. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, hope you enjoy this post and be sure to return tomorrow for my first look from Florence.

Btw, though Internet was really bad, I had been posting on my Facebook page and Snapchat (carinavardie) during this trip, so make sure to follow me there.

Have a pink-tastic day!
