Gopo Awards

I'm thrilled to bring you a glam look today, especially since it's been a while. I was lucky enough to attend the Gopo awards this year, which are the Romanian Film Awards. It was my first time attending and it was lovely. Everyone was dressed beautifully, I kept admiring all the gorgeous dresses and make-up the actresses and guests wore.

As you've noticed, it's kind of hard to miss, my dress was gold & black and very sparkly. I might have stolen it from my sister, but who knows. To complete the look I went for very high heeled pumps, which have a gold heel, a dainty gold necklace and bold red lips. Ideally I would have worn lenses, but I forgot to take a pair with me.

One of the things that helped make this such a wonderful experience was attending the award show with my mother and a friend. Going to events with my mother is amazing, since she's funny and helps me feel like myself, more relaxed and carefree. For anyone wondering, I'm 24 and yes, I enjoy going out with my mother, we have an awesome mother-daughter relationship. Looking now at our picture, I realise we kind of matched our outfits, which trust me was unintentional but looks so cute.

Do you love glam looks?

How to style your coffee table

Hello beautiful people!

Today's post is different, but not a new concept on the blog. It is however just the second time I wrote a "How to" post, which shame on me cause I should have written a few more in so many years of blogging. The first similar post was published last year and it featured styling all black looks, which you can still check out, if you would like to. In this post I'll share my way of organising and arranging a vintage coffee table. Hope you'll get some inspiration from this.

Adidas Superstar & Layering Madness

Hey Dolls! Happy Monday!

Today's outfit is all about layering and asymmetrical pieces. Thank God it stopped raining and the weather has been warmer, but still chilli enough to be able to layer like crazy. It may seem much, but keep in mind the trench coat is very thin and the fluffy layer is actually a vest. I enjoy the look of all the different textures peaking through and the slightly ombre formed out of the black, dark grey to lighter grey, which was unintentional.

Also, today's outfit was possible thanks for my sister, which like previously mentioned has left before my arrival leaving her closet at my mercy. Yay for sisters who wear the same size! How are you enjoying this day so far?

You rock 'n I'll roll

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for all the kind wishes for my sister! Since she is so important in my life I highly appreciate you took the time to wish her a nice day. You guys are wonderful and very kind readers. I also hope you had a great week and are enjoying the weekend!

Today's outfit is relaxed and effortless, yet a bit "cool" because of the t-shirt. The weather has been kinder and it stopped raining, so of course I had to take advantage and shoot some pictures. Though it's so simple and casual, I love this for running errands or going food shopping which is exactly what I had done before taking the pictures.

Memory Lane

Hi Dolls!

Today is my fabulous big sister's birthday, so I wanted to share some lovely pictures of us from when were little and now. I've already touched base on the subject in a past post, but for those who didn't see it here's what you need to know: I have an older sister which I love dearly and admire a lot. Of course we had a lot of fights, like all siblings do, but she's always been there for me and I'll always be there for her, cause a sister bond is stronger than anything. Let's all wish her a Happy Birthday! She turned 26.

Let's talk!

Hello Dolls!

How's your day going so far? I'm currently writing from Bucharest, my home town, which has welcomed me with the shittiest weather. That aside, I'm really happy to be home and spend a lot of quality time with my family, well except my sister who decided to leave exactly a day before I arrived, so rude. Anyway, I'm really bummed with the rainy weather because it means no outfit pictures. Everything is so dark and grey, you would think winter is coming not spring, but hopefully it will get sunnier in the next days so I can share new looks.

By now I think you've guessed this is a rambling post, so let's catch up. I think I haven't done a rambling post since the beginning of the year. Shame on me! First of all let's talk fitness, because I've been really good so far. Since the beginning of the year I've worked out a lot and feel that I've gotten a little bit stronger. Yay! Until now, I've even worked out while traveling, not a lot, but it's still better than nothing and hopefully I'll keep at it while in Bucharest. Food wise there have been good days and naughty days. Though I eat mostly healthy meals, I've also eaten a tone of chocolate which is so bad and ruins my hard work at the gym. However I'm trying to be more controlled without depriving myself from guilty pleasures.

Like I mentioned I'll be home for the next couple of weeks, which makes me very happy. This time around you'll finally get to see a food post with just Romanian food, which I promised since Christmas. Also, it will be a change of scenery for my outfit pictures and that's always nice. I'm very excited for the weather to improve so I can take loads of pictures and share them with you guys.

The good part about rainy days is cuddling in bed and watching movies while eating yummy treats or going out for hot chocolate or cakes or both, to each its own. It's also a last opportunity to wear those winter favourites before ditching them for your summer wardrobe. As you're noticing I'm trying very hard to keep a positive attitude. Btw, I need your help. I've been thinking about cutting my hair, but not sure how or if I should do it. Do you guys have any suggestions?
Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Pop of blue

Happy Monday my loves!

Hope you're starting your week positive and rested. Today I went for an office inspired look, wearing a black look with a pop of blue. What I most loved about this, well of course except the pop of blue, was the visual effect the asymmetrical blouse gave. I mentioned before, but asymmetrical pieces are some of my favourites. The look is effortless, work appropriate but stylish. Hope you enjoy!

River Bench Strolling

Happy Saturday!

Like promised, I'm trying to post a bit more often for the rest of the month, since I missed a few days while improving the blog. So on this wonderful sunny day I'm sharing a new outfit post with you. I decided to go for a midi skirt and crop top look, though sadly it wasn't warm enough to go without stockings. At this point, seeing as we've known each other for so long, it comes as no surprise that my look is monochromatic. What are your plans for the weekend?

Miu Miu for a walk

Hey Dolls!

So excite the weather is finally cooperative and I can wear my white vest! I've been thinking how to style it since I bought it at the end of autumn, so you'll be seeing a lot of it. The Miu Miu slip ons are very casual, but the metal tip gives them a polished feel. By now you know this Coccinelle bag is my favourite and even though I have other bags, I tend to wear this one the most. Probably because I love wearing black&white looks so much. The whole look is very simple and casual, yet chic. How do you feel about vests?

Girls trip to Ljubljana

More than a fashion post, today's post will be a travel one where I share with you some pictures from my girls trip to Ljubljana. I had visited the city once before, last summer, and it was such a lovely sight. The city centre is very picturesque and picture perfect. Since it was quite cold, it wasn't as populated as it is during the warmer months, which meant taking loads of pictures without interruptions or disturbances. It was such a wonderful girls trip, we had so much fun fooling around and taking a million pictures.

Like I mentioned the weather was kind of gloomy, so I wore my cape with a leather jacket underneath for added warmth. Also, it looks a bit cooler and edgier. To fortify that edgy vibe, I added some faux leather pants. For accessories I went with a small bag, ankle booties and grey scarf. It was a very simple yet chic look, which was also quite warm.

PS: Sorry for the late upload of the post, but the internet connection has been very uncooperative and kind of shitty today.

Have a pink-tastic day!

New Chapter

Hello Dolls!

Welcome to the new and improved blog. I've been MIA for a few days now, because I was working to get up the blog with the new domain and look. In November I finally decided it was time to change the blog and improve it drastically, so I began planing and thinking what and how I wanted things to look like. Every year I've made a goal to improve the blog, but never took such a big step.

First of all I finally bought my own domain, which I struggled to install for the last few days but it's finally active and running. Yay!!! Buying a new domain also enforced me to take the plunge and change the name of the blog. I've been thinking about this for about 6-8 months. I started this blog while in University, but feel that I have grown a lot since then and wanted to move forward from the slightly childish name and look. I know for a fact that my name combination is unique, so why not take advantage and make it my blog name?!

Like I mentioned, I also wanted to upgrade the look of the blog and this is a part which hasn't yet reached its final stage. Finding and deciding on a design took a lot of time, since I wanted to be sure it would be "the one" for me. At the moment I'm in love with the new look of the blog and hope you'll also like it. Little changes will still take place, but for the most part this is it! What do you think?

Here's a little sneak peak of tomorrow's post. I'll try to post enough these next two weeks to make up for the days I didn't post this month, but hopefully you now understand why I haven't been around.

Draping leather

Today's look is very simple and casual, it's all about layering and draping. The weather has been getting better, which meant I wore ballerinas for the first time this year. Woo-hoo! If you've followed me since the beginning or at least a couple of years, you'll know that I love ballerinas. They are comfy, well once you break them in, elegant and very chic.

Also, since it's nicer outside I've enjoyed draping my clothes, because they look stylish like this. I wore them all day like this and let me tell you, it's not an easy job when the wind is blowing. However, when nature wasn't against me it felt very comfortable and natural. Even though this outfit is very minimalistic, the pattern of the shirt makes it a bit more interesting. Doesn't the pattern of the shirt look kind of artsy? What do you think?

Pop of green + Dolce&Gabbana Shirt

Hello Babes!

How was your weekend? Today I'm sharing with you another outfit that's smart and a little bit edgy. Since the weather was gorgeous and I felt like it, I also added a pop of colour. Petrol blue and variations of the shade are my favourite colour. What's yours?

Food Diary #30

Hi Dolls!

Today I bring you another foodie post sharing with you what I ate this week in Italy.
Beware! A lot of meat ahead! Since March has started, my vegetarian month has ended. There was only one time that I really craved meat, so I would say it was pretty easy to keep. Though I've stopped the vegetarian diet, I still wish to decrease my meat intake. I'm not saying it's better or right, it's just a personal choice. To each its own. What's your favourite dish? Hope you enjoy this post!

Over the knee boots + Dolce&Gabbana Shirt

March is finally here! Who else is very excited for spring? I know I am and to celebrate it, here's a new outfit wearing a men's shirt as a layering piece. I was trying to think of new ways in which to use a men's shirt when it occurred to me that I never styled it instead of a cardigan. The basic idea is very simple, but the finished outfit looks very chic. This time I went for neutral colours, but maybe in a future look I'll combine something more colourful. I'm quite in love with the style. What do you think?
