Boxer Braids & Asymmetric Skirt

Happy Monday beautiful people!

Since boxer braids have been such a trend this past year or so, I decided to share another outfit while rocking this hairstyle, which I really enjoy at the moment. In comparison with the previous one, this has a more feminine vibe. The faux leather jacket and necklace give it a very soft edgy vibe, but the fresh and sweet make-up look along side the skirt offer that girly feel. The braids are a little bit messier and relaxed this time, which feels right for this look. I'm still working on my technique. Do you like the sporty look or this slightly feminine one?

Lunch Date in Maribor

Hey Dolls!

In this post you'll get to see a little bit of Maribor and a lot of me, ahaha. We went for a lunch date and I thought it would be a good opportunity to show you some parts of the city, mostly the centre, which as you'll be able to see has a very picturesque scenery.

Since the weather is still kind of iffy I went for a warm outfit. Also before our date I went to the gym and I don't like to get "glammed up" for it, so the look is very casual and comfy. Don't worry I didn't wear make-up at the gym, I applied it after working out to be a little bit dolled up for the lunch date. Hope you enjoy this post!

Off the shoulder Serenity

As you've seen on multiple occasions, I love styling men's shirts. The oversized feel makes them  versatile and done right, they look very stylish. Today I went for an off the shoulder look, which made the sleeves fluffy, giving a sweet vibe. For accessories I opted for silver cufflinks, a dainty necklace and a pompom ring. The look is light, playful and chic.

How do you feel about styling men's shirts? Does your boyfriend/hubby agree? I have to admit my boyfriend isn't always ecstatic that I'm stealing his shirts, but accepts it and is supportive. Let me know if you like this look.

Off duty Sporty-Edgy Look

Boxer braids have been everywhere this past year, they look great on almost all hair lengths and are the perfect solution for second or third day hair. This is the first time I've created the hairstyle on my own and it turned out pretty good, of course there is still a lot of room for improvement and hopefully each time it will look better. Since it's the first look with this hairstyle, I wanted to wear something sporty, so I opted for this "model off-duty" look. It's very comfortable, but all the leather give it an edgy vibe. What do you think of the boxer braids?

Food Diary #29

Over the month of February I decided to follow a vegetarian diet, so today I want to share with you some of the dishes I cooked and ordered out. As always "diet" stands for the kind of food I ate, not a regimen. As you'll see some dishes are healthier than others, so remember it's all about balance. Hope it inspires you to cook something new. Which is your favourite dish?

Playing with Make-up

Hi Dolls!

Since the weather insists on being crappy, pouring rain, making it impossible to shoot outfit pictures, I decided to share my make-up of the day with you. It's a very sweet and fresh look. For the face I opted for a CC cream. Even though I have a lot of foundations, I only use BB and CC creams. They feel light and are very hydrating, so perfect for the colder months. I like to layer products to get my desired colour and finish, so for the eyes I layered two mascaras to get a more dramatic effect. From the Naked 3 palette I used the lightest shade all over the lid and a matte light brown in the crease. For the lips I combined three shades to get this glossy pinky nude colour, a "my lips but better" colour. Add a natural flush with a pinky blush, some eyeliner and we're done. Like I mentioned, easy, minimal and fresh. What are your favourite activities for gloomy days?

Minimalist Look in Lecco

Hello Dolls!

Can we take a few seconds to admire how beautiful Lecco is? Yes, the weather is kind of gloomy, but it doesn't even matter, cause the pictures still look gorgeous thanks to the beautiful lake. Similar to my last look, this is all about layering and being minimalistic. This time around I swapped my over the knee boots for comfy sneakers and added a chunky knit to keep me warm. To balance out the look of oversized everything I also went for a larger bag, well mostly because it can fit my whole life in it. I love totes and always fill them up, which is such a bad habit and I often end up with back pain. I need to invest in smaller bags and stop carrying everything with me. Wish me luck!

Grey Coat in Milan

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and are energised for the new week! Today's look focuses on layering and combining different textures. I love simple outfits that look chic and are put-together, yet so effortless. As you can see, I went for faux leather pants with over the knee faux suede boots, a loose  blouse with a long coat and oversized scarf. I've been loving loose fitted and oversized clothing this past winter. Looks very chic and comfy, not to mention it hides that pizza and pasta baby (belly).  We took all the pictures in Milan. I just love strolling through the city and discovering new places to see and shoot. Have you visited Milan? What do you think about the city?

Leather details & Stripes

Happy Valentine's Day or Sunday! Whichever you prefer. Today I want to talk to you about loving yourself. Valentine's Day puts such a pressure on girls and boys and realistically speaking not everyone has a significant other on this specific day, for which you should not apologise or feel bad. It's perfectly ok to have a boyfriend/girlfriend as it is to be single.

So my suggestion for today is to relax and take a stroll, admire the nature, your city, the people passing by and know how lucky you are to be able to enjoy everyday. Your happiness comes from yourself and having a boyfriend/girlfriend just adds up to that, it doesn't create it. Love should be celebrated daily and you should tell and show your significant other, family and friends how much you cherish them daily, not just on holidays. Also don't put pressure on yourself, you're doing just fine. Be happy and grateful for all the wonderful people and things in your life.

Hugo Boss Shirt & Asos Boots

Hey Beautiful! Happy Fri-yay!

If you've been a reader for a long time now, you might have noticed my love for open back pieces. Therefore it should come as no surprise that the centre piece of this look is an open back blouse, keeping the rest of the outfit quite minimal and neutral. As a dainty detail I added a long necklace which dangles from beneath the shirt, as you can notice in the first picture. I love how simple it looks from the front, but then it's a little bit flirty when you turn around. It's also very comfortable and another perfect outfit for Valentine's Day. Do you like open back pieces?

My top Lipsticks to wear on Valentine's Day

Hi, my name is Carina and I'm a total lipstick junkie, which is why today I decided to share with you my top 5 lipsticks for Valentine's day. I will probably just wear a BB cream, mascara and a lipstick, which is my usual "routine". You know how some people change their outfits throughout the day? How crazy would it be to change your lipstick during the date. An innocent pink for entree, a nude for main and a bold flirty red lip for dessert. That would be so funny and your date would probably think you're a weirdo, so maybe don't try it out. Back to the point of this post.

Though I love red for this occasion and most days to be honest, I wanted to incorporate some nude shades for all of you who don't enjoy a bold lip as much as I do. In my selection I included a gloss, two satin shade and two matte shades. The matte shades are also non transferable, you know in case you want to kiss your boy/girl. I also wanted to include both affordable and luxury lipsticks, to offer a wider selection.

From left to right we have: Dior Addict Gloss in Nr. 256 , NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo, YSL Rouge Volupte in Nr. 1, Sephora Lip Stain in Watermelon Slice and Chanel in Nr. 104. My current favourite is the Sephora Lip Stain in Watermelon Slice, which I recently purchased after falling in love with Mandarin Muse from the same range. In the next posts I'll share my last Valentine's Day looks. Which lipstick do you plan on wearing this Valentine's?

Giuseppe Zanotti for Valentine's Day

As promised in my last outfit post, today I'll share another Valentine's day outfit idea. This one is very sexy, perfect for a party. It's meant to be more for a Valentine's with your girlfriends, where you go out and have fun, no men just your bestie(s). I think celebrating with your girls is a wonderful idea, the point is to be surrounded by loved ones. Love should be celebrated daily, in my opinion at least. So maybe this February show some love to your girlfriends and have a blast. What do you think about Valentine's with your bestie(s)?

Sunday Style Inspo

Hello Dolls!

This style inspo post will concentrate on nail art. I like trying new designs, well as long as they're easy to execute. In this post you'll see my super easy "Negative Space Manicure" alongside some inspirations found on Pinterest. As always I use stickers or scotch tape to achieve the results, trust me when I say I would never manage otherwise.  What do you think about negative space manicures? Love or hate?

New Chic Outfit & Review

Hello beautiful Dolls!

Today's look is sexy and a little bit outside my comfort zone. This dress style has been popular in the last couple of years and I've been attracted to it, so why not?! When I found these two items on NewChic, I knew I wanted to create a Valentine's Day look with them. To tone everything down I added a long coat, since I was shooting the pictures in the middle of the day. The dress has long sleeves and reaches at my knees, so even though it's revealing at the top, it balances out. The coat is very soft, comfy and keeps me warm. This look would be perfect for a intimate and romantic dinner. Till valentines day I want to share two more outfit ideas for the occasion.

Dresslink Haul & Try On

Hello Dolls!

As you might remember, a while back I wrote a Dresslink wishlist and today I want to share with you a haul and try on post. One of the things I loved the most was this black asymmetric skirt, which I find sexy and elegant. Also went for a beanie with ears. I've had a black one for two years now and love it, so I picked a red one from Dresslink. Soon I'll share with you some proper outfits wearing these items. Be sure to follow the blog so you won't miss a thing.

Over the knee boots & lace dress

In the last months I've shared my love/obsession for over the knee boots quite often and have told you I want to add a heeled pair to my collection. Today I styled a very simple yet chic look around my new over the knee boots. The point was to let the boots shine and show how gorgeous they are, which I think was accomplished. Since it's still pretty cold I went for a layered look and dainty details, like the lace on the dress and the jewellery. Hope you like the boots and look forward to seeing more outfits with them.
