Royal Blues in Milan

Hello Dolls!

While in Milan I wore another preppy inspired look, this time using a midi skirt. The weather was quite rainy, but I still enjoyed a full day walking through Milan. I always love coming back here and discovering each time a bit more of this wonderful city. Scrolling down you'll discover some pictures capturing different sites of this amazing city.

Treviso Day to Night

Treviso is a picturesque city in the northern part of Italy and the town in which the famous italian dessert Tiramisu was invented, but also the home of the well known Prosecco. It is also headquarter of Benetton, Stefanel and Sisley.

It is a really nice and tiny city, but with some luxury shops and a shopping street. Since it's such a small town you can visit it in a day by foot, the food is great and the people have a warm personality. However to fully enjoy the lovely site I would recommend visiting when the weather is warmer.

Food Diary #12

Hi Dolls!

I want to share with you some of my cheat treats and meals from the last week. Since I mostly talk about healthy eating, it's nice to show you my bad habits. Next "Food Diary" will be my italian "diet".

All about that preppy style

In the past few weeks I've been liking a more preppy style, which is why todays outfit is featuring again such an ensemble. Since it's cold and gloomy outside, I also like to layer a lot and mix different textures. In this one I have a chiffon blouse as my first layer, a soft pullover with shoulder ruffles on top and a faux fur vest to end the mix.

I'm wearing a faux leather skater skirt and knee-high ruffle socks, matched with some ankle boots. Since I've mixed so many textures , I decided to keep the accessories to a minimum and just rocked a statement ring. How are you lovely dolls enjoying fall so far?

"Casa poporului"

On our short stay here in Bucharest, we decided to visit the Palace of the Parliament, also known as "House of the people/ Peoples palace" or in Romanian "casa poporului". This is the largest building, for civil use, with an administrative purpose. The building is made entirely with Romanian materials build by Romanian workers and it is the most expensive administrative building. When in Bucharest it is worth taking the time to visit it.

Since the weather is kind of gloomy out here, I think I brought the viennese weather with me, my outfit consisted of a soft and fluffy pullover, which I paired with an elegant blouse underneath, creating a preppy vibe. The colour scheme was black and blue with gold hardware on the bag and boots. I uploaded some pictures from inside "casa poporului" after my outfit ones.

Caesar Gala 2015

Hey Dolls!

I'm finally back with an outfit post, this one kind of special from a luxury gala I attended. It will also feature some outfit pictures for the guys, which is a first on my blog. Usually I post my sisters outfit along with mine, but this time I wanted to try something new. If it's something you would enjoy seeing more of, tell me in the comments bellow.

This gala is close to my heart and I post a yearly outfit from it. This year I went for a black dress, with a lot of attitude, if you could say so. The combinations of the elements with the hair style and make-up came out even better than I imagined.

GRWM Caesar Gala

For the Caesar Gala I went for a soft smoky eye look and natural lips. I think fake lashes would have gone great with this look, but I forgot mine at home and didn't get around buying any. However the look came out pretty good, if I could change anything it would be going for a peachier blush instead of the posietint.

I used Nooner as my crease colour, then Darkside (light charcoal colour) all over the lid and Blackheart (black colour with red glitter) at the wing to smoke everything out. For my highlight I used Strange (matte light colour). Lately I've been starting with the eyes and than put foundation on, since dark colours can have fall out sometimes. I really enjoy sharing this make-up close ups from time to time, hopefully you do too.

Glittery Manicure

I literally haven't painted my nails in two months. I know! It's a shocker! I let them detox, as a friend nicely put it. It was kind of nice not worrying which colour to paint them next, however I also felt kind of bare at times. After letting my nails have a two month break to regenerate, I went for a black colour and a glittery silver as my accent colour, which both will ruin the "detox", but I love they way it looks. Not everyone likes black nail varnish, however I think it looks gorgeous!

GRWM A fresh look

Hi Dolls!

Having a fresh natural make-up is always a good pick me up, especially when you aren't feeling all that great. Since I've been feeling sick it was the perfect time to show you which make-up products are my go to in such cases. Keep in mind that if you're feeling under the weather, you may not want to put make-up on and just lounge around, which is my perfect scenario. However sometimes you have uni or a job, which ruin your perfect lazy plans. I keep it really simple, honestly who wants a full face of make-up when you have fever or are feeling blue?!

If you have a good "skin day" or somewhat good, don't use foundation or BB/CC cream, just go for concealer under the eyes and/or on any blemishes/redness. For my eyes I used "Strange"(white matte colour) all over the lid and "Nooner" (cool taupe colour) in the crease for some dimension and loads of mascara. Go for a pigmented brow gel, it will add some colour and it keeps your brows in place all day. If you want a natural flush use just a bit of blush, no contour or anything crazy. Remember we're keeping it simple and as minimal as possible. I don't know if it's just me or if there is anybody else who thinks this, but neutral glosses always inspire a fresh look.

You could eat a cupcake or muffin or cookie to treat yourself while getting better. Don't forget to drink lots of water and tee with honey or plain and take care of yourselves.

What's in my make-up bag?

To be totally fair I don't really carry a lot of make-up with me, I just have a "make-up bag" in which I carry some essentials. The only make-up is a lipstick, which usually varies from seasons to season or what I'm wearing that day and a concealer, just in case.

The pouch I am currently using is from Gucci, which I've had for about two years or so and am really happy with. At the moment I'm using the NYX full coverage concealer and the MAC lipstick in Pure Zen. I always try to have some sort of pills against headaches or the flu, something multipurpose and at the moment it's paracetamol. Also very important, try to keep some hand wipes and a toothbrush with a mini toothpaste, you never know when you might need them. I like having a small comb in case my hair gets all tangled up, some hand cream if my hands get dry and a lip balm, especially in the colder months when your lips need help to stay hydrated and plump. Something I always try to remember to put back is a hair tie with a bobby pin clipped to it. We all know bobby pins disappear mysteriously, which is why I clip them to my hair tie. You should try to keep band aids in your bag, for blisters or if a friend needs one. The last thing is a perfume sample or a Travelo, which is a small container that you can fill with your favourite perfume. Mine is filled with The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit perfume. What do you keep in your make-up bag?

Working out Outfit

Since I've been getting back into my fitness routine I decided to finally show you my new gym clothing. As you can notice everything is black and white, which wasn't plan like this. I do have also colourful T-shirts, I promise, but apparently I'm more drawn to the dark colours.

I have been on the haunt for fitness leggings for a long time now, it seems that every time I walk into a Nike store they only have loose fitted pants. Personally, I can't workout in something that isn't tight fitting, it just distracts me. For T-shirts, when I'm not wearing a plain one, I like wearing some with writings or drawings on them, since they are more fun looking. I always keep my hair in a high pony tail or a bun. What kind of working out look do you usually go for?

Food Diary #11

I looooove sushi, which is why this "Food Diary" post will feature my sushi eats at a running sushi in Vienna. I find running sushi awesome, since you can try all kinds of sushi and cooked meals. It's a great way to experiment and maybe find a new favourite item on the menu. My favourite sushi is the roll with avocado inside and smoked salmon on top. I'm not sure how it's called, depending on the restaurant I've seen it under the name of : "salmon and avocado roll, California salmon roll", etc., but it's really yummy. What roll do you like the most?
