Bye June

We have come to the end of the month and thus to the end of my "daily blogs". I didn't quite make it daily, but I tried my best. I think 25 out of 30 days isn't that bad, especially since it's the first time I tried posting on a daily basis. Going back to "my normal schedule" I'll post every other day, whenever possible. Hope you liked the posts from June! I also might have a plan for August, so keep an eye out for that.

It was a lot of fun, but also so stressful to blog daily. I did choose a difficult month for it, since all the exams are in June.

Have a pink-tastic day!

My kind of love affair

Hi Dolls!

Todays outfit seems to revolve around my love for cupcakes. I even match mine, which was not on purpose. My outfit is bright and perfect for summer. It appears I also have a small obsession for pencil skirts going on.

Even though I like eating heathy, I love cupcakes, they are the best treat to have from time to time. They are beautiful to look at, not to mention they taste like heaven.

If you're wondering about my hair, I just have some heatless curls/waves going on. Basically I just slept with my damp hair in braids and the next morning I had these soft boho waves or if you prefer beach waves. I know it's a perfect hair style for going to the beach, but I'll rock them in the city.

Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses!

PS : I'm posting this outfit as my birthday outfit this year. It's more put together than last years birthday outfit, even if I'm not wearing high heels. I wore another outfit for dinner and going out, that I'll have to recreate some time soon.

White Obsession

Hi Dolls!

I have to admit to you all, this summer I have an obsession with white dresses! I think they look so feminine and stylish, not to mention super appropriate for summer. Since I can't wear just white, because I would feel to bride-like, I accessorised with black pumps and my monochrome bag. For my pop of colour I wore an orange lipstick and my neon orange bracelet, which got covered by the wristwatch and I didn't noticed it until it was to late.

What's your summer obsession? Tell me in the comments below!

Food Diary #7

In todays food diary I want to share with you my breakfast and dinner, since I didn't photograph the rest of my meals. It's another healthy day I would say. For breakfast I had an apple which I forgot to take a photo of, after which I had an egg with some rye bread and a sandwich made of rye bread, smoked salmon and some romaine salad leaves on top. I also took a supplement and had my green tea. I love green tea and try to drink it daily, as it doesn't just taste good, but also has a lot of good properties.

Dinner was so easy and healthy : zucchini, carrots, mushrooms and spring onion pan fried with less than a teaspoon of olive oil. Usually pan fried sounds so bad, but I was using a non stick pan and added the olive oil just for the benefits it has. Also I didn't add it from the beginning as some studies say you shouldn't heat it at high temperatures for a long period of time. Anyway that was part of what I ate today.

Have a pink-tastic day!

Summer Skincare routine 2014

As promised today I'll share my skincare routine with you. I'll tell you step by step what I like to do and what products I'm using at the moment.

In the morning I wash my face with the "The Body Shop" Tea Tree cool and creamy wasch. It has a creamy texture, which makes it really hydrating and the tea tree oil is supposed to keep your face clean. Afterwards I use my Clinique toner, which I have talked about before so I won't get into it. For my eye cream, I use the vitamin E one from The Body Shop both in the mooring and at night. I really like it. It's very hydrating, as for any other properties I can't comment, since I don't have severe wrinkles or anything. For my moisturiser I like to use on that's targeted for dry and dehydrated skin. As I have mentioned before, my skin is really dry and dehydrated.

At night I use The Body Shop Tea Tree Scrub, which has little exfoliating buds inside. I tend to use it if I went to the gym or wore make up that day, otherwise I'll use the creamy wash again. The scrub tends to strip your face from it's natural oils, so I wouldn't use it on a daily basis if you have dry skin like I do. Followed up by toner and my eye cream, the same ones I use for my morning routine. At night time I sometimes use coconut oil as my serum or moisturiser. If I use it as a serum than I'll apply a cream on top of it, after letting it sink into my skin for a couple of minutes.

If I have any spots I'll apple the Clinique spot gel. During the summer time I like to spritz my face with thermal water and I use the La Roche Posay one. I have three types of mask in my routine at the moment : a clay mask with acai, a charcoal mask and a natural mask. I alternate them and apple one every three or four days. In the last picture I popped a bit of the masks and face washes on my hand so you can see the texture they have.

Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses!
The first pale blueish one is the clay mask with acai, next the Origins charcoal mask, The Body Shop cool and creamy wash, The Body Shop Scrub and the natural mask from Alverde.

Dream Wish List

Hey Dolls!

I decided to make a dream wish-list of the fashion bits and bobs that I've been craving this summer. It will be in form of photographs and maybe it can give you some ideas for your wish list. Since it's a "dream" wish list it will contain more extravagant and luxury fashion items, be aware of that.
Hope you like it!

Blue flowers

Welcome to the second outfit idea wearing a pencil skirt, as you saw the first ensemble was really casual and laid back. However this outfit is elegant and sophisticated, perfect for a business lunch or any meeting you would want to look put together. The chromatic is really basic and simple, but the necklace makes the outfit even more elegant. The contrast of the blue flowers from the necklace hit perfectly the black blouse. The darkness makes the blue colour seem even more intense and it just captures your eyes.

Fun fact about me, my favourite flowers are blue roses, so this necklace was just made for me. I absolutely adore it! The pictures were taken by my lovely friend Anca.

The Casual Way

In this and the next outfit post I want to share with you two opposite ways in which you could wear this pencil skirt. As you can see this outfit is really casual, where I paired it with a white loose blouse and converse shoes. I went for pink accessories and lipstick, for my pop of colour. This is a fun way of dressing down this kind of skirt, making it more laid back and fun to wear. However it's still a really feminine ensemble.

Bloggers made me do it!

I read a lot of beauty blogs, which means I get sucked in by a lot of products. On the good side it also means I can get an idea of what I'll be getting, but on the negative side I tend to want more products than I need. I have been trying, since the beginning of the year, to stop buying as much make-up. I do not need 5 foundations! I don't even wear foundation daily. I don't need any more eyeshadow palettes, even though I've got my eyes on the Marc Jacobs one. The point is even though I need to stop buying beauty products, I want to share with you the ones I bought because bloggers made them sound so wonderful.
The Origins active charcoal mask is a good mask, which I think I first read about on Fleur de Force blog. Because it's a charcoal mask it has a dark grey colour, should draw out impurities, leave your face bright and fresh. It's around 30 euros, so it isn't cheap. I do enjoy using it all year round.

I got super excited to hunt down and buy the NYX Butter Lipstick after I saw a review and swatch video by Makeup by Alli. She had so many colours and almost all looked incredible, but I only got a red shade. I wanted to see how I like them before buying any other colours. They are really worth the hype. Such creamy beautiful colours and they apply like a dream. Definitely worth checking out.

The last product is the Physicians Formula Organic mascara, which I kept hearing Tati from Glam Life Guru rave about. It's a good every day mascara, but it didn't wow me. I was expecting more volume from it. It's ok, however I prefer other mascaras over it.

Hope you liked this post!

Bows and Polka Dots

Hello Dolls!

I have not regressed to the age of twelve, so don't worry about that. I was feeling nostalgic and missing Disneyland, so I busted out my Minnie ears and created an outfit around that. Yes, I did go out with those ears on my head and yes some people gave me funny looks, but it's ok. I was feeling like a happy child and that's the most important thing. If you are happy with yourself, don't let other peoples judgement get you down.

Hold your head up high and smile. Did you know that forcing yourself to smile even when you don't feel like it, can actually help your mood get better? Staying positive will always help you, so try and stay as positive as you can.

I matched the colour scheme and pattern from my Minne ears with my blouse. I also found it very appropriate to wear my mouse flats for this look, not just because of the colour. Hope you like it and try to get out of your comfort zone from time to time, be that with fashion or life in general.

Stay Inspired #5

For todays "Stay Inspired" post I want to share with you some lovely sunglasses that I like. First of all you should know I like three types of sunglasses : cat eyed ones, rounded baroque inspired ones and large-cover-your-face ones. I think all of these types are suitable with my face shape and the pictures you will see below incorporate only these kind of sunnies. Feel free to write below which your favourites would be.

Painted sky

Hi Dolls!

Todays Outfit will feature a more business like ensemble, which is actually a dress that looks like a blouse combined with a skirt. It's a really flowing and comfortable dress, but also something I would wear to a business lunch. Have you noticed how much I love the classic black&white combination? To add a pop of colour I wore some baby pink bracelet and my bubble gum pink lipstick.

Let's take a moment and admire how gorgeous the sky colour was captured in these pictures. I was amazed by it, it looks as if it was painted! Hope you like the outfit!

Spa Day at Home

Hello Dolls!

I want to share with you the products I like to use to pamper myself. Without any rambling let's get into it, because it will be a long post otherwise.

Before entering the shower I like to apply a face mask and the one I've been loving at the moment is the Freeman Clay Mask with Acai. It has a pale blueish colour and soft creamy texture, leaving the skin clean without over drying. The first thing I use in the shower is a sea salt scrub to exfoliate my skin and I have been enjoying the My Body Meersalz Peeling with the coconut scent. It leaves you feeling squeaky clean, but it can dry out your skin. Afterwards I use The Body Shop Raspberry shower gel, which leaves my skin smelling heavenly! I also have the perfume to accompany the shower gel. It's a limited edition product, so if you like raspberries go give it a sniff.

For my shampoo I have been adoring the Organix argan oil of Morocco shampoo. It supposed to leave your hair silky smooth, which it definitely does. I follow with the herbal essences hydrating conditioner. After I get out of the shower I use the Balea by DM body lotion. I have really dry skin and should use it daily, which I don't always do...I know it's very bad of me. It's ok, nothing special, but it has a nice smell which lingers around for a few hours. For my hair I use the Guhl Ginger and thermal water leave-in spray.

If I'm not having a "spa day" I won't use the mask, scrub, leave-in spray or shampoo on a daily basis. I will just wash my body with the raspberry shower gel and apply body lotion if I'm not feeling lazy.
I'll also write a skincare routine post really soon, so look forward to that. I'll share with you all the masks I use in that post and my whole routine basically. See you tomorrow!

When the night comes

I have been wanting to share this outfit with you for months now! I wore it one night and absolutely loved it, however it's hard to take good quality pictures when it's dark outside. So I decided to recreate the outfit and take the pictures during the day...which got me a lot and I do mean A LOT of nasty looks. I don't really mind to be honest, I do get that I was overdressed and wearing way to much leather for 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

It also gave me the idea that I could share more often the outfits I wear clubbing or for date night. The only difference it that I had a smokey eye when I originally wore it and I didn't recreate that. However I still like how the pictures turned out. Hope you like them too.

Train insane

Hey Dolls!

Wanted to update you on my fitness routine and health goals for the summer. I have changed a little bit my fitness routine. Last time I told you I was running for half an hour, alternating running and speed walking, in the meantime I am using the stepper. It's much easier for me even though it requires more effort. I told you I don't like running. As for the rest of the workout, I am doing arm presses, leg presses, crunches, squats, nothing special. I don't use a lot of weights, since I just want to tone my body. I am quite happy with my routine and it gives me a lot of energy, so I try to go in the mornings.

I did a sort of detox, where I ate only fruit, vegetables and fish for two weeks. I substituted cheese with tofu and since I like tofu that turned out well. I also ate only rye bread, instead of white or whole wheat bread. I wasn't hard at all, since I enjoy eating a lot of fruit and vegetables anyway. I did crave pizza and ice cream. I am now eating normally again, which is still really healthy. I still want to do the juice cleanse detox, but I have to plan it after exams. I am also really happy with my "diet", again using diet in the sense of eating choices. I would love to keep it like this and eat even more fruit.

Do you have a fitness routine or a workout plan? What's your diet like? Feel free to tell me in the comments bellow. I love reading your comments!

Peekaboo dress kind of day

Hi Loves!

I great you from sunny Vienna! I love days like this, when it's warm, but not burning hot. Since I was feeling cheerful, I chose to wear bright summery colours. Not that we should match our clothes with our feelings, but I was just feeling happy and wanted to express it not just through my smile, but also though my clothes.

Summer Talk

Summer is finally here and it's blazing hot outside, however sadly instead of taking gorgeous pictures in the sun I have to study. I am currently writing this post while half looking through the texts from my next exam. If you didn't get where this was going, it will be a rambling post.

Usually I have something to tell you or share some sort of decision I took, but today I just wanted to say "Hi" and if you have exams to wish you the best of luck. Hopefully I'll take some outfit pictures soon and write some fashion posts. Also I am craving ice cream so badly, but since there is holiday everything was closed today.

Now that I think about it, choosing June as a month to try and write posts everyday wasn't the best idea, seeing how June is also exams month. Ohh the pressure! It's ok, I will manage to take my outfit pictures and I also have some other post ideas for the future. This post is totally all over the place so I'll just end it here and go back to studying.

Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses.

PS: If anybody was wondering I study social and cultural anthropology.

Food Diary #6

Hi Dolls!

It's time for another "Food Diary" post and it will feature what I ate today! I have been on a health kick in the last couple of weeks, so be warned it will be extremely heathy and I like it this way! As I have mentioned before, I actually enjoy eating healthy and being health conscious, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy unhealthy alternatives. However moderation is key.

Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses!

I try to start everyday eating some fruits, sadly it doesn't happen all the time. I love fruit, it's refreshing and sweet, not to mention good for your body! Nectarines help prevent cancer and assist the metabolism.

Childhood Memories

Living in another country and being away from home, makes me miss my childhood. The time when I was carefree and always playful. I am a strong believer in protecting your inner child, as I always state in my posts and since the lovely Verena from "Who is Mocca?" informed me of her "Show your... "posts, I decided to write this months one on childhood memories. Well... I'll cheat a little bit, since I can't just pinpoint one awesome memory.

I was luck enough to have amazing parents who offered me an awesome childhood. I always felt loved and was surrounded by incredible people. I got to travel a lot, thus developing my passion for travels and I got to spend a lot of time with family members. There are so many wonderful memories that I wouldn't know where to start, so instead I'll just show you some pictures I like. Always appreciate your family and take advantage of every day. I am very close with my sister and parents and very happy about that.

The 20/20 Experience

Hello Dolls!

You can't even begin to imagine how happy I am! Yesterday was Justin Timberlake's concert in Vienna! It was more awesome than words can describe. Everyone was dancing, singing and screaming. The show lasted a couple of hours and even thou it was so crowded you could barley even move, it was totally worth it. He is wonderful and I highly recommend going to one of the concerts.

I'll show you some pictures I took and on my Instagram you can find a video. Sorry this post didn't go up yesterday as it was supposed to, but it would have been already midnight.

Running errands

My inspiration for todays outfit was a silk scarf that I own, which is kind of short, so I don't like wearing it wrapped around my neck like a stewardess. Wanting to wear it in some way, I decided to make a braid and incorporate it in my hairstyle. A little bit more creative, but not unheard of. Seeing it like this gave me a resort/marine vibe, so I decided to wear it with some pastel baby blue jeans and a white T-shirt. I just had to run some errands, so there was no need to dress up. Nonetheless I'll show you a few pictures, even thou todays outfit is so simple and boring.

Today I'm in a weird good mood for some unknown reason! Since I didn't post my biweekly "Stay Inspired" post last sunday, I thought I will write it today. Since summer is here or should be here, let's talk about summer shoes! Let's admit it, we all love shoes!

Everyday in June

So, I have decided to try and blog everyday in June! I will try and post at least half of the time outfit blog posts, the rest being beauty, inspirational, lifestyle or just rambling post.

I will admit this is kind of nerve-racking for me, it's a big commitment. I can't promise you I will succeed! However I will try my best and hopefully everything will work out.

Nothing more to say...just wanted to update you on what's going to happen this month.
