MBFWA 2014 Dream Summer Outfit

Hey Dolls!

I want to share with you my favourite summer dress, which in my humble opinion is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I have been waiting for an opportunity to start wearing it for a while now. This would be an outfit that I would wear to fashion week. It's incredibly feminine, fresh for summer yet elegant. It has a wow factor in my opinion, something about this dress makes you stop and take a look. I went for a classic colour combination, that would go with any ambient, but in order to make it more summery I went with orange and peach shades in my make-up and nails. Of course a beautiful outfit is wasted if you aren't feeling it. However I feel super confident and happy in this ensemble.

I have been chosen by the lovely girls from FashionChick (click name to be taken to the site) to participate in a contest, which is sending some lucky blogger to Fashion Week in Amsterdam. I feel incredibly honoured that they thought of me! Hope you like my outfit as much as I love this dress!

Floral Prints

Hello my dazzling dolls!

I have to admit I'm a little obsessed with this hairdo! As you will notice it's almost identical to yesterdays hairstyle, however instead of a fishtail braid, today I have a normal french braid. It's not something I came up with, I saw it on my sister and found it so cool and refreshing for the warmer weather. So I decided to give it a go and I am adorning it. Another spring obsession is bright lipstick. I have been rocking it in the last few posts and honestly speaking it's a lovely spring/summer trend.

The floral print is also a trend that tends to always come back, it's girly and summer appropriate. It's a simple outfit with a little something extra, without actually adding to many accessories to it. I went really light on the jewellery in order to let the dress shine on its own. It may not be a trend that everybody embraces, but if you're trying to experiment with fashion and different prints I recommend starting with the floral one.

Since I wore this outfit in Koper, Slovenia I'll insert some pictures at the end showing this lovely city.

Happy thoughts

Hey Dolls!

For todays outfit I chose summery dress with a fun cut-out. Since I felt more inspired I also decided to make a fishtail braid. The color palette has green and yellow incorporated into it, I'm still on my green kick apparently.

Remember to always smile and do what makes you happy! I want to encourage everyone to pursue their dreams. Don't hold back just because of others and their opinions, do what you like. Of course respect people and their opinions, but don't let their thoughts change your ways. Try to always be positive!

Food Diary #5

In todays Food Diary I want to share with you three days of eating mostly healthy. I once promised to share what I usually eat in a normal day or my healthy diet, instead I decided to show you three days. I did my best to remember and take pictures before devouring everything.

Day 1
For breakfast I had two nectarines and a grapefruit, accompanied by a cup of green tea. (This cup holds 0,5l). Green tea is really good for your body : it helps your metabolism, it helps detoxify, reduces blood pressure, etc. Nectarines are rich in antioxidants, boost immune system, protect skin and help regulate the heart rate. Grapefruit fights infections, cleanses the blood and assists arthritis.

Cherry on top

Today I went for another feminine and pastel outfit. Since I always wore this skirt in a really girly manner, I wanted to make the outfit more casual. To change it up a bit I wore Converse sneakers. It was also a no make-up day for me, everything was really laid back and relaxing.

Comfy Traveling

Hi Dolls!

I'm writing todays post from the train as I am traveling again, no complaint here. I wanted to share with you my traveling outfit. The weather is still pretty awesome, so it will be a spring outfit. When I travel I love to be comfortable, I could never wear heels or something in which I feel unwell. Therefore this is really casual and nothing special, but I thought you might still enjoy seeing it.

The blouse seems really plain, however it has a girly factor in the back. I went again for a pastel mint colour, which apparently is the colour that is catching my eyes these days. As you know I also wore a similar colour yesterday. I don't mind, hopefully neither will you. Hope you are all taking advantage of this lovely weather.

A vanilicious afternoon

Hey Dolls!

Todays post will feature an outfit that I wore for lunch with my lovely friend Anca, who was also sweet enough to take my pictures. Since today was such a warm and gorgeous day, I decided to wear a spring-summery outfit. Also I have fallen in love with my Morange lipstick, again! It's just so amazing!

As you can see I went for a pastel silk blouse and a white skirt, which is actually a dress that I wore as a skirt. The pastel statement necklace was borrowed from Ancas wardrobe, since it went perfectly with my outfit. I'm trying to embrace summer as long as it last.

Stay Inspired #3

Todays "Stay Inspired" post will focus on a single brand, rather that a theme. We all know and love Oscar de la Renta for his gorgeous and feminine designs. The pictures of his Resort 2015 Collection have been recently made public and I thought I would show you my favourites out of the collection. Honestly speaking I can never get enough of his glam designs. I think that his designs are so flattering and sophisticated, but something even I could pull off. Here are the ones I liked the most.

Down memory lane

While I was out and about, I was wondering on this rainy gloomy day how do bloggers manage to take pictures even when it's pouring outside. Have you ever wondered? I have done some pictures in the past on really cold and rainy days and let me tell you it's no fun! I get really cold fast, so I dislike taking pictures in such conditions and avoid these situations.

More than the blogger who has to pose, I sometimes wonder how does the photographer take it. It's not easy for the person who has to take the shoots. But the most important question I ask myself on this sad day is : Why is it pouring in mid May?? I mean... I was expecting so much warmth from May. It was the time to bust out all the nice spring - summer dresses. I got too happy about spring too fast.

Moving on from that, as you can see this is turning into another rambling post. Honestly I enjoy writing them, hopefully someone enjoys reading them. Today I went through my design portfolio and a nostalgic feeling got me. I started seriously drawing in 2009, did it for a few years including my first two years in Austria, however I haven't drawn anything in a year I think. Maybe I should get back into it. I'll share with you some of my old drawings. I am by no means a professional, I was doing it because I was passionate about it.

Have a pink-tastic day!
Kisses.
I started drawing shoes also in 2009 and out of all the fashion items one could draw, sketching shoes is my favourite and the one I'm best at. I can't draw accessories or bags, but I love to draw my dream shoes or just ones that I would love to wear.

On display : Mini perfume collection

Hello Dolls!

I want to share with you my mini perfume collection, well at least the fragrances I keep in Austria. I have a few more in Romania for when I am visiting. Some were gifted to me by family or my boyfriend and the rest I purchased.

As you will notice from the perfumes I have, I like a lot of fresh and fruity scents. I like the simple basics like my Grapefruit or my Raspberry Perfumes, but also more complex combination. For example the Daisy Eau so Fresh has both grapefruit and raspberry notes, blended with pear, apple blossom and other lovely notes.

The Nina Ricci one has citrusy notes mixed with flowery ones, just as the Chanel fragrance does. Pleats Please has a really sweet smell, containing a mix of pear with feminine flowers. I do not usually go for sweet scents, since I enjoy so much the fresh citrusy odour.  The last one is from L'erbolario, an italian based company and it has a more mature scent in my opinion. I still enjoy it from time to time, but wouldn't have noticed it on my own.

Feel free to share your favourite fragrance.

Reuse and Repurpose

Hi Dolls!

Todays blogpost will focus on reusing old items from your wardrobe. For my item I'm reusing a beloved maxi dress, but this time making it look like a maxi skirt. Most of us are guilty of buying clothing items and only using them in one way or wearing them just once. This reusing and repurposing of the things we already have, is like shopping your own wardrobe. I like figuring out new ways in which to wear a piece that I really love.

Since the maxi dress was black I choose a bright green colour for colour blocking. Because the weather has been getting better I also busted out my beloved sandals, which are gorgeous in my opinion and I don't wear them enough. For accessories I went with silver toned ones, since they matched the details of my bag.

Too cool for school ?!

Hey Dolls!

Here is another outfit post from my get-away. I am really lucky to be able to travel as much as I do and am so grateful for it. As I have mentioned so many times before, traveling is one of my passions and something that I believe enriches you more the material items. I will continue to take every opportunity to travel as often as I can and even though this isn't a traveling blog I hope you enjoy the new sights from time to time.

Back to the outfit : I choose a plaid shirt in cool green and blue tones, with shoulder cut-outs that give the outfit a little bit of "va va voom". Honestly, since I bought my white converse I've been wearing them so much, they were my most loved shoes in the month of April. To finish the outfit I went for a pink lipstick and a big smile on my face.

Wiesbaden

Like I've already shared with you, I'm in Wiesbaden to visit my lovely sister with whom I already took some outfit pictures. There isn't much to say about it. I am enjoying spending time with her and visiting this new city.

Fun fact : Wiesbaden is one of Germanys luxury cities. It's quite a nice city to visit.
